    Terrible customer service. Initiated an upgrade on my phone via the Verizon app. My bf is the account holder so he took care of ordering the phone, and all that... I just had to stop by the Kirkwood store to trade in my old phone and pick up my new one. Got there when they opened at 11 and the lady helping me was interested more in trying to sell me things I didn't want or ask for, rather than ensuring what I went in for actually got handled appropriately. After pulling up my account and trying to sell me a deal where I could still get the trade in rebate on my new phone but keep my old phone (all I had to do was add another line), she immediately asked me to reset my phone. She seemed like she was wrapping up with me as if once I finished that I would be on my way, but I told her I had ordered a new phone and was supposed to pick it up here too. She pulled up my information again, verified some things, asked me to continue with resetting my old phone and she would go get my new one. When she came back she had a paper shopping bag with an invoice stapled to it like a door dash order and said "here you go", smiled as if this concluded my time with her, and asked if I needed anything else. I felt kinda weirded out that she wasn't going to at least get my new device up and running, as thats always been my experience anytime I upgrade my phone in person... but I am new to Verizon and since my bf initiated the upgrade on the app, thought maybe we just had to set it up on our own. (When I was with AT&T i had either done upgrades fully in person, or had my new device mailed to me and mailed the old one back after activating it myself at home). I didn't really think much of it. I wanted to look at phone cases and while I did so she tried to sell me on a home internet package, even though I wasn't interested and said I'd mention it to my bf. She was persistent on following up with him later so whatever sure. I left after this, no phone case. Got to the car and when I tried to get my new phone at least on and functioning, it asked me for an activation code sent to my old phone in order to active the eSIM. I know I never got any texts/emails prior to resetting my phone, so I thought maybe my bf did, or maybe we had to finish setting things up in the verizon app. I wasn't able to access any accounts to get ahold of him since 2 factor authentication wasn't going to work on my phone, and with him being at work I didn't know if going back to the store was really feasible to handle this without him. So I went home (which is an hour away). After a long day, a second trip to my local Verizon store, and an hour long call to Customer Service, my phone was FINALLY working at 530 pm. We found out my phone SHOULD HAVE been activated at the Kirkwood store when I picked it up. Had this lady been focused on addressing what I went to the store for in the first place before selling other products or services, maybe I wouldn't have had to waste an entire day on this.
