Every other utility company marked their lines properly — Xfinity did not. Because of this, their unmarked line was damaged during excavation, leaving me without internet. I work from home, so this outage directly affected my ability to do my job. When I contacted Xfinity to resolve the issue, I spent over an hour being transferred around, only to be told it could take up to two more days for a technician to fix a problem caused entirely by their own failure to follow required 811 procedures. To make matters worse, the only compensation offered was an $8 credit, which doesn’t come close to addressing the lost work time, inconvenience, or the effort I’ve had to put in to fix their mistake. This experience shows a lack of accountability and customer care. Extremely disappointing.
