- SLStacy LeachNov 17, 20251.0RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! My husband spoke to customer service earlier today and ordered a WiFi extender. He was told I could go pick it up since he wouldn’t be off in time to make it there before they closed. They put my info down and said to make sure that I went in with my ID. I get there around 6:40pm and told the lady I was there to pick up a WiFi extender that we had ordered through the customer service number. She cut me off and asked if my name was on the account. I said no it’s in my husband’s name. Her and a guy across the store began to REPEATEDLY tell me I can’t pick it up. I told them what customer service said and they still said no. He then asked me the number on the account and I told him I could show him my ID that my address and last name is the same that is on the account. He then told me that it doesn’t matter. He said “me and my mama share a last name but that doesn’t mean she can come up here and put stuff on my account.” He told me to hold on and while he was doing something on the computer, him and the girl was loudly talking horribly about a previous customer that had been in there complaining about her service. They kept making fun of her and wasn’t saying a word to me or letting me know what was going on. He then walked away and came back with a box and handed it to me without saying anything. I asked him if I was good to go and he just said yup and walked away again. I get home and realized he gave me a gateway and not the WiFi extender that I ordered. He removed our original gateway off of our account and now our internet isn’t working. We contacted customer service who we spend over 30 minutes on the phone with and they couldn’t figure out how or why he did what he did. We now have to wait at home for a technician to come out and fix our internet and bring us the CORRECT equipment we ordered because they didn’t want to do their job correctly!

It does this when I’m not working as well. The only thing Xfinity is consistent with is being unreliable. If you experience the same issues, please report this business to the BBB. If you’re looking for reliable internet service, stay away from Xfinity!!
