My grandparents were loyal customers for decades, yet Xfinity charged them over $300 every month for basic landline, cable, and internet—services that are a fraction of that cost from virtually any other provider today. When equipment inevitably failed (equipment they were renting from Xfinity), the company piled on additional service and repair fees, as if the breakdowns were somehow the customer’s fault. But what pushed this into outright predatory territory were the outrageous cancellation fees and contract traps. Even when my grandparents were clearly dissatisfied and wanted to leave, Xfinity made it financially impossible. The company uses aggressive contract renewals, hidden terms, and escalating penalties to keep elderly customers locked in, paying more and more for less and less. It is not an accident. It’s a revenue model. It is painfully obvious what is happening: as cable companies flounder in a shifting market, Xfinity is squeezing every last dollar out of the consumers who are the least equipped to fight back—older adults who have spent years trusting that their provider had their best interests in mind. Instead, they are targeted because they don’t know how to navigate streaming options, billing loopholes, and deceptive bundles. This isn’t just “bad customer service.” It’s predatory. It’s taking advantage of loyalty, age, and trust. No company with integrity behaves this way. Xfinity should be held publicly accountable for these practices.     I’ve called about a wire down in the back of my house for 5 weeks and no one seams to care that the wire is a hazard to my 4 year old grandson. Worst customer service you can find. The fact that they are the only game in town in some areas is terrible.

    We went to the store to resolve some issues with setting up service after a local move. Things didn’t go seamlessly with the transfer (it happens) but getting help to resolve the issue should be simple. With help from Xfinity associate Alexander, everything got resolved. He expertly concluded why we couldn’t complete the set up, removed the barriers, and gave us clear directions on what we needed to do once we returned to the house. He also gave us progressive steps of what to do next if the problem were to continue. His clear direction and thoroughness helped resolved the problem. Alexander is a valuable asset to this store and those he helps.
