  If you enjoy paying for the privilege of being ignored and inconvenienced, Cox Communications is the provider for you. I have been trying to perform a simple internet transfer for well over a month, and it has been a logistical nightmare of epic proportions. ​ The service technicians seemingly have a physical aversion to reading account notes. I’ve had to repeat my situation to every person I speak with, only for the "on-site" tech to show up at the wrong house entirely. ​Their automated reminder system is a joke. I get alerts for appointments that aren't mine or reminders for completely wrong dates, leading to more confusion and wasted time. ​If you decide to call in to fix their mistakes, clear your entire schedule. The hold times are equivalent to calling the IRS during peak tax season. You’ll sit in silence for an hour just to be told they’ve "noted" the account again—notes that the next tech will inevitably ignore. ​Avoid Cox if you have any other choice. They are a monopoly that operates with the urgency of a sloth and the organizational skills of a toddler!!!!

  I've spent hours talking on the website chat, on the phone, and in person trying to change my service over to a $30/mo plan and no one knows how to get me that price, even though cox sent the offer to my address. If you make a mistake it shouldn't be the customers problem, that's on the company, do better.

  Pathetic service and famous in our area for always having problems and being down. The whole fl panhandle hates cox cable.

  I was needing to change my home plan and add services with COX as I was already a customer for three years. I had been into the store twice and called customer service and they could not help me on two different occasions. I then decided to return to the store and requested the help of a different customer service person. As I explained of my previous visits and how I was rudely turned away, given INCORRECT information on submitting and claim for repairs on my phone and was able to finally add the service, the Hispanic young lady that NOT HELPED AT ALL simply smiled and carried on with her duties. I was extremely disturbed that I had made so many trips and called the 800 number many times and NO ONE was willing to simply decrease my data, add cable services and another line to my Cellular service. My guy MITCHELL at cox FWB was able to help! He was a life saver. He did not treat me as though I was bothering Him and handled all of my WIFI and cellular needs!

  Absolutely horrible company. Don't care about their customers whatsoever. They claimed set up was as easy as plugging in a box. First one we tried didn't come on at all. We spent a couple hours reading online and watching videos and did the troubleshooting with an agent via chat. They said it was a bad modem and to take it back. So we take it in the next day and are given a heavily used / scratched modem to try again with. This one has a blinking light but no internet still. Again, couple hours trying to figure what it could be. Back and forth with a chat bot and then a live agent that says the same thing. Try unplugging it. Then they tell us the only way to get the issue fixed is to send a tech out but it would cost $100. Why should I have to pay for them to fix their own issue? So I take the modem back and say I don't want to go through with getting internet from them and they go ahead and charge me for the days I had service turned on even though I could never use their internet because the equipment didn't work! On top of everything, before the service rep in the store had even finished talking to me about my account details he walked away to begin selling product to someone else who had just come in. I don't like taking time to write reviews but hope to save others the awful experience we had with cox. If you're in the area go with Live Oak instead. They actually value their customers.
