Verizon terminated every phone line on their account without warning — including his elderly parents, who had just joined Verizon after leaving their previous provider. His father is in his 70s, recovering from knee surgery, and suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure. They had only been on Verizon’s plan for four days when their phones were cut off — no explanation, no transfer PIN, no way to recover their numbers. I’ve watched my business partner spend over 20 hours trying to fix this. He was told the issue was resolved, but it wasn’t. His father’s number of over 20 years is now locked and inaccessible. Even worse, during this chaos, a close family member suffered a tragedy — and they couldn’t even reach him. As someone who knows his parents personally, I can tell you they are good, honest, respectful people — and what Verizon did to them was not just wrong, it was cruel. I would never use Verizon after seeing how they treated his family. And I’ll make sure everyone I know stays far away too.
