Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort is an awesome ski village at the top of the mountain. The best way to describe it is that it is like being inside a Christmas themed snow globe. The skiing is amazing with roughly 20 ish runs from green to double black diamond. There is also am area to go snow tubbing. Highly recommend for anyone who loves winter activities

Snowshoe is hands down the best ski resort in the Southeast. The mountain has a great variety of runs for all levels, and the longest one, Cupp Run, about 1.5 miles a solid ride for this region. There’s also Silver Creek Resort right next door, which offers night skiing, adding even more to the experience.
The resort has a nice little village at the top with plenty of places to eat, shop, and stay. The lodging is comfortable and convenient, and the whole area has a fun, cozy mountain-town feel.
That said, it can get icy, and the snow conditions don’t always match what you’d get out west. The terrain isn’t huge, and the runs aren’t very long but for the Southeast, it’s as good as it gets. If you live in or visit this part of the country, Snowshoe is arguably the best option for skiing or snowboarding. Just don’t go in expecting the Rockies, and you’ll have an awesome time.
