This gym costs $150/month and I get a better value at planet fitness
The cardio area is so congested because all the machines are 5” from each other. You are uncomfortably close to anyone next to you. None of the cardio machines have GymKit or Bluetooth to connect smartwatches. They’re all the cheapest models I’ve ever seen.
I wasn’t told at sign up that the pool is taken by some swim team every afternoon. I can only workout after work so now a swim is not available to me. So my expensive membership isn’t getting the value I pay for.
The lady who runs the group class in the turf room is the rudest person I’ve met. I was told the squat racks there are still available cause her class doesn’t use em, but multiple times she’s walked onto the rack I was using and taken weights or the bar without saying anything. She also has her class run across the gym with no regard for others. These people have run into me and didn’t say a word or acknowledge it.
If you’re a woman AVOID this gym. A lot of members are elderly men and they are such creeps and stare at girls working out or follow them around.
Locker rooms are disgusting and look like they’re never cleaned, old men love to be naked in there and sit on any surface with out a towel
My short experience with CAC DTC has been extremely underwhelming, and the manager, Kat, is the sole reason I submitted a cancellation request.
I stopped by the office, politely started with “Happy New Year,” and raised serious hygiene concerns—specifically the filthy, corroded faucets in the bathrooms (see photo). Her response? She flat-out refused to acknowledge there was an issue and stated they “wait until things fail.” That attitude alone is unacceptable. These fixtures are disgusting, unsanitary, and clearly neglected.
I also raised concerns about the cheap, low-quality toilet paper that disintegrates, forcing people to fish it out—an extremely unhygienic situation in a gym environment. Again, she refused to acknowledge there had ever been an issue or to investigate. Apparently, basic cleanliness and disease prevention are not a priority here.
The facility itself is aging and poorly maintained, and it is absolutely not worth a $100+ monthly membership, especially when management refuses to listen, investigate, or take accountability. Instead of professionalism, I was met with rudeness and dismissal.
This isn’t new behavior either. Months ago, Kat wrongfully sided with a trainer who failed to provide me with the terms and conditions for training sessions before purchase. Because of their lack of diligence, I lost a session in the system—which they refused to credit. While I initially let it go, today’s discussion made it clear they still believe this was my negligence, despite the fact that the terms were never presented. That says everything about the complete lack of accountability from top to bottom at this gym.
At this point, I am seriously considering filing complaints with OSHA and the State Attorney under consumer protection laws, because it appears CAC will not act unless forced to. This did not need to escalate. All management had to say was:
“Absolutely, we’ll investigate and replace the faucets and toilet paper. Can you show us where you noticed the issue?”
Instead, they chose arrogance and denial.
So be it.
Like others have said, this gym is just another place that’s scammy when it comes to memberships. I tried to cancel both mine and my husband’s memberships and was told we were on a joint account and that both would be canceled. That didn’t happen, we were still charged for one after what we were told would be the final month.
When I called back to cancel the second membership, I was then told our accounts were never linked in the first place, meaning we also never received the discount for having two memberships. That’s just bad business. Frustrating after giving them our business for three years.

Katie is the sole reason why I am giving 2 stars. She is so amazing and personable and a great active listener.
My rating is so low because they are charging well over $115/month (not including the sign-up fee) for a gym that's no better than a Vasa or Planet Fitness! The reason why you can't find their costs/fees online is because they're so absolutely outrageous they will scare you away... Normally, it's $320 just to begin the membership... a $200 enrollment fee and about $116 or more per month! (The enrollment fee is waved with a certain sale after Christmas.) Be warned, other reviews also mention a weird cancellation thing of 3 months or something... Definitely ask about this before signing up. However, Katie was diligent and respectful. I recommend speaking with her. She's incredibly kind and understanding.
The locker rooms were gross, dirty, and unmaintained. I only went one time, and 2 of the three sinks I used trying to wash my hands were flooding and spraying on me... Gross! Their hours are extremely limited... the front desk guy gave me a hard time for leaving 2 minutes after closing... like, sorry? I couldn't find a working sink! Oh, and LADIES DO NOT GET A SAUNA, BUT MEN DO?!?! fyi.... that's an equality issue, btw...
Their cardio equipment is terrible. Sticky, outdated, and clearly dirty. Ellipticals are at least a decade old; some of their buttons and screens don't even work... Their "new" treadmills only go up to 6 mph pace despite being new... Making them subpar for any average/above-average runner.
Now, I will say, it's one of the best resistance setups I have experienced... a ton of space, weights, decent squat racks, and an awesome turf area. Their new glute-focused machines are awesome! However, this gym is just charging way, way, way too much for what's offered. You can find the same, if not better, at your local commercial gym for 1/6th of what DTC Colorado Athletic Club charges...
I am a qualified, professional fitness enthusiast (or a fitness snob, if you will ;) ...). If you're like me, I highly suggest looking at a different gym.
