  Just completed a sublimely special 7-day canoe trip on the St. John with Kevin, two other exceptional guides and a group of six other guests. Could not have asked for anything more. Exceptionally well organized, very hardworking, knowledgeable and considerate guides; I always felt safe and very well cared for. Terrific wilderness ethic. MGS well accommodated my vegan diet. Can't recommend more highly.

  Better than wonderful!!! Since I was a teenager it was always on my bucket list to paddle the Allagash.In 2018 I retired from a long burdensome career and signed up to paddle the Allagash with Mahoosuc Guide Service. It was better than wonderful. All I had to do was show up. They took care of all the gear and logistics and food....everything. the river was beautiful, the paddling was great, with sights and sounds and mountain views I cherish. Polly and associate guides were excellent and fun to be with. They took campfire cooking to an epicurean level. In March 2019 I went on a dogsled winter camping trip with them. It also was great. Safety was paramount. The dogs were eager and friendly. The camp was something out of a Jack London novel. Each tent had a small wood stove and was toasty warm. Food was great and plentiful. Kevin and Polly were fun to be with and they were always making sure everyone was warm, well fed and happy. In May 2019 I went on a three day canoe trip with my wife and another couple who are not campers. They had a great time. The two guides, Polly and Jean took good care of us. We saw moose and beavers and loons and sunsets. It was sublime. And then last August I went with Mahoosuc to paddle 170 miles on the Yukon River in Alaska. It was terrific. There were six of us. I reminisce about it every day. It was better than wonderful. I am getting older, I need to pack in all these trips while I can. Once this pandemic is over Kevin and Polly will not be able to get rid of me. I have become a Mahoosuc junkie I yearn and crave for my next trip with them. Richard Greene, MD

  I had a great trip with Mahoosuc Guide Service. I took a women''s trip where we explored several remote lakes in Maine by canoe for a week. The guide (one of owners) was very experienced and sensitive to the needs of the group. Planning and food were excellent. Great memories!

  I highly recommend MahoosucGuideService. Polly and Kevin were very patient with our entire family, and we had several kids along for the ride. The dogs were fabulous. I truly felt like part of Kevin and Polly’s family with the home cooked lunch we shared and baked goodies. Polly thought of everything! The hot lemon tea warmed me up and tasted delicious. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, and I am truly grateful😍
