Polly, David and Savannah, our host and guides; were a joy to be with. I will never forget them. Our other travelers were a pleasure to spend time with and get to know on a personal level. This was an extraordinary weekend adventure that I would highly recommend to anyone.
- RPRuss PaddenSep 20, 20215.0Paddling the Allagash has been on my bucket list ever since I saw the video done by Deborah Gardner and her husband Greg Nolan (see the video gallery). 2020 put it on hold but I finally got the opportunity in September 2021. Everything exceeded my expectations, having been an avid canoeist for over 50 years and retiring from a career in logistics, I was thoroughly impressed with the knowledge, organization, skills and expertise of Kevin and Jean, and I am not easy to impress. This is only the second canoe trip I have gone on where I gained weight, the food was awesome - I led most of the prior ones and can honestly say I don't hold a candle to them.
