The hotel is in a bad area, room was dirty, booked online for a king and was told only queen double available. Our truck was broken into, rear glass smashed but fortunately nothing taken. No breakfast and our whole floor smelled like pot. Will never recommend and never return. Saint Louis itself was fun though.

The price is what kept us considering staying here. First time we stayed in 2022 we literally were thrilled. 2023 my husband went with a buddy and it was awful, one elevator, room was terrible. So we stayed elsewhere 2024. 2025 takes the cake, thought we would give it one more chance. The room was horrible, stained carpet, the heat didnt work correctly, the comforter was stained no water pressure in the shower. Still only 1 elevator! How do you not fix this??? There was popcorn in the seat cushion. We did get a room with a view of the arch. The food options are decent, hours suck though. We go to the race every year and stay there because its easy on the wallet. I don't kniw if I can do it again. The emailed me after my email in 2023 hoped thet could gain our trust to do better. Worse this year.

Rating the chicken spot right inside the doors 5/5. A bit pricey but for good reason. Portions are huge and food is fantastic. The morning cook is really good at his job and the counter person was respectful and helpful too. I think the name is “Thatchickenplace”

We looked online for rooms and it said they had a ton of rooms available. We showed up to the hotel at 11:40 at night and the doors lock at 11pm. We spoke to the lady at the desk using the intercom at the door and she was beyond rude and unhelpful. She said there are no rooms available when I know there are rooms. She said if we booked online she wouldn’t let us in because they can’t let people check in past 11. This is a horrible situation she put us in. Awful. 12/28/2025
Update: We could book every room available online. Either there were definitely rooms available or your website needs to be fixed before more people run into the same issue.

Before I begin, please understand that I was traveling from Chicago during very bad weather. All my family wanted was to arrive, be comfortable, and rest. I was traveling with two young children, a one-year-old baby, and my mother, and we arrived at the hotel around 9:00 PM.
At check-in, I requested a luggage cart before unloading the car and was told none were available because guests had taken them. This was already frustrating, but we proceeded anyway. We were given room 224. Upon entering, we immediately noticed no heat, the TV did not work, and the phone was unplugged and not functioning, along with the clock. After reconnecting everything, we called the front desk and were moved to another room.
The second room (216) also had a non-working TV, and the phone was missing all of its buttons, making it impossible to call downstairs. Maintenance was sent up, but after waiting over 20 minutes, we were told they were still searching for a remote. At this point, I went back to the front desk and requested to check out and receive a refund. Unfortunately, I was persuaded to give it one more chance, which I now regret.
We were then told we were being “upgraded” and sent to room 332. This room was not upgraded at all and was actually dirty. There was an empty water bottle under the nightstand, and used, dirty towels hanging in the bathroom, even though fresh towels had been placed. This showed the room was never properly inspected or cleaned.
By this time, my family had been moved from room to room late at night in freezing weather, and I was completely overwhelmed. I stepped outside for air while my mother, upset and frustrated, sanitized and cleaned the room herself using our own supplies—something no guest should ever have to do.
I contacted the front desk again and asked that a note be made because I need to speak with a manager. This experience requires acknowledgment and accommodation for the time, stress, and patience we were forced to give. When asked if I wanted yet another room change, I refused.
This hotel went from what I believed to be a five-star experience to barely a one-star. I am disgusted and extremely disappointed and will never stay here again. No family—especially one traveling with small children—should be treated this way.
