  From start to finish, our Idaho hunting experience exceeded every expectation. The combination of breathtaking landscape, expert guides, and abundance of wildlife observed made it more than just a hunting trip - it was a full adventure. The horseback riding through rugged terrain was absolutely incredible. Riding through the wilderness, and literally on the edge of the mountainous terrain gave us a sense of connection to nature you just don’t get anywhere. The horses and mules were well trained and Caleb insured everyone felt comfortable and confident. The culinary experience was out of this world. After day in the field, we were treated to a hearty gourmet meal showcasing chef Andrews capabilities creating incredible plates, many with the meat and ingredients personally harvested. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and sharing these meals around the table, created a warm welcoming atmosphere. What truly set this trip apart was the focus on relationship building. Whether it was bonding with the hunters in the group, sharing stories around the dinner table or learning from Caleb, the sense of camaraderie was unforgettable. It wasn’t just about the hunt - It was about creating lasting memories and friendships.   Unforgettable Adventure with an Exceptional Hunting Guide in Idaho’s Frank Church Wilderness! I recently had the absolute privilege of embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime hunting trip in the breathtaking Frank Church Wilderness of Idaho, and I can’t recommend our guide, Caleb and his phenomenal team highly enough! My two sons and I joined for what turned out to be an epic father-son experience, culminating in us harvesting a magnificent Black bear that we’re still raving about. From start to finish, every aspect was handled with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for the outdoors. Caleb was knowledgeable, patient, hard-working and incredibly skilled at navigating the terrain. He and his entire team went above and beyond to ensure our hunt was not only successful but also filled with laughter, excitement and unforgettable memories. They were tireless in their efforts, scouting tirelessly, setting up excellent opportunities, and adapting to whatever the day threw our way. And let’s talk about the camp chef, Andrew—wow. Wow. Wow! The meals were nothing short of spectacular, with gourmet-level dishes prepared fresh that rivaled and frankly surpassed most high-end restaurants. From hot breakfasts to get us going, to well thought-out dinners to end the day. Nightly dinner helped end a rugged and exhausting day with comfort and surprising culinary excellence. The accommodations were spacious cabin tents that were incredibly comfortable, and warm from a wood-fire stove. The setup was functional and well-maintained, allowing us to rest easy after long days in the Frank Church hills. A quick note for future hunters: The Idaho mountains are no joke—they’re challenging and demand respect. Do yourself a favor and show up in good shape; it’ll make the trek even more enjoyable. I am 61 and in good shape. It was challenging. That said, the team takes exceptional care of you every step of the way, providing support, guidance, patience and encouragement to ensure everyone gets to success .....and a lot of fun every step of the way. If you’re dreaming of an authentic, thrilling hunt in one of America’s most pristine wilderness areas, book with Caleb and his outstanding team. They turned our trip into an absolute triumph, and we’re already planning our return. Five stars aren’t enough—thank you for the adventure of a lifetime!

  One of the better outfitter experiences I’ve had. We go bear hunting with wilderness mule every year. The quality of lodging, the food, the bears, and Caleb himself all shine when hunting with wilderness mule. Caleb, chef Andrew, and Zack make this an unforgettable experience and I recommend it to anyone who’s interested in bear hunting.

  Cannot recommend Caleb more highly as an outfitter to entrust your adventure to! I have hunted with Caleb three times, returning for a fourth. He is personally inexhaustible, deep in his knowledge and meticulous in his planning to ensure a tight ship and well-run operation. His vision of a backcountry experience that is a “cut above” is delivered every time with in-camp chefs Andrew or Pete, a romantic tent setting and excellent horse and mule stock. He will work tirelessly to get the job done, and no detail is overlooked. My most recent trip was as a result of drawing a once in a lifetime Bighorn tag, and Caleb stepped up to make it a success; mobilized a great team of guides, led the way throughout, and we got a great ram as a result of his efforts and organization! You can rely on Caleb and WildernessMule to deliver!!
