I bought snowboard boots that ended up not being a good fit for me. After returning to the store Derek took a good amount of time to find something better suited for my style, foot and comfort. He was very knowledgeable, patient and asked the right questions. Thank you Derek

Chapparell (Cheryl in Apparel!) was so helpful. I came in with a helmet issue, and I was not able to return or exchange the helmet due to Epic’s policy. She worked creatively to solve the problem, and I left the store with my original helmet modified to fit my head. She was so great, patient, and thorough!

Miserable customer service. There was only one employee working a fairly empty snowboard section; easily 7-10 others just milling around the jackets talking with each other (no reason to help people in a department they don't work in?).Snowboard guy (not wearing a name tag) was more focused on talking about which mountains were open with the one other person in the section who was trying on boots than the growing line building in the area. By the time he was done with the guy fitting boots, there were about 9 other people (11 total) waiting to be helped. Despite my daughter and I waiting for nearly 20 minutes, clearly waiting to get a boot size, the guy goes to help the only other person waiting who looked like he could have another mountain convo with; one of the last to show up waiting. My daughter and I bailed and went to the Aurora location, got all of our questions answered, and left with everything we were looking for. I would recommend going to a location where your business matters, not just the one closest to the busy mall.

We were helped by virtually everyone at the front desk, and the back counter. We came in to buy a pair of skis and trade in, walked out extremely happy. Nicest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with!

I recently tried to return a jacket to Epic Mountain Sports and had a disappointing experience. The jacket was new and barely worn, but because the tags were no longer attached, they refused to take it back. I understand stores have policies, but the way it was handled left a bad impression, the employee who helped me was dismissive and just shrugged it off with a “too bad, nothing we can do” attitude. A little courtesy and effort to explain the policy or offer an alternative would’ve gone a long way. I expected better customer service from a shop with such a good local reputation. I actually was looking for an exchange and probably would’ve bought more. More than likely this will be the last time I encounter the store.
Perhaps they should go shop at REI and see how returns are handled there.
