- PMPete MessiasFeb 20, 20261.0I’ve been going to REI since I’ve started skiing, that’s where I get everything for my adventures in the snow. I have an REI card simply love the brand! I recently came into the store in January for a ski tune, I was given a deadline and they communicated to let me know they wouldn’t meet the deadline, frustrating but it happens… I went to the store the next day the skis weren’t done, so I was only able to pick them up even later that week. I have 2 days off and I couldn’t ski any of them that week. Fast forward to a couple weeks later, I left the skis for another tune after hitting some rock pretty hard. This time they promised a date 02/18 and never called, because I had had the experience of going there for no reason, I kept on waiting for the call. Needless to say it never came, today 02/20 I come in the manager Nick basically tells me - “it was ready on the 18th I’m unsure about the ski shop procedures not sure why you were not called” - which to me reads as - you’re not the brightest avalanche dog of them all. It’s a pity such a great store at a great location, with some very cool folks treats its loyal customers like this.
