  On December 1st 2025 i brought my mountain bike to the trek store in la mesa. The bike needed new brake pads and a new chain ring I left the bike there and was told they needed to order a new chain. So i waited about over 3 weeks for them to call me and tell me the bike was ready to be picked Up. But waiting was not the issue i started to think the shop was maybe lying to me about the chain ring not coming in the mail they said they ordered it how ever it took over 3 weeks for what i can see for the chain ring to be delivered to the shop by mail. i called 3 times with in 2 and a half weeks and they kept telling me it was on its way i then asked if it was coming from another country they said no i then said if its coming from with in the united states it should not take this long but ok i took there word because this is as you know a place of trust its the trek store i want to believe they were telling me the truth but have my doubts but ok i trusted them you know what i think in my opinion why there was a delay i am thinking they had other bikes they needed to work on and instead of telling me the truth that there was going to be a delay they lied to me that the chain ring did not come in the mail for over 3 weeks come on who's going to believe that again they told me the chain ring was being mailed out with in the united states so 3 weeks to deliver i am not buying it and i do not think anybody reading this post would believe it either. Finally when i got to the shop on December 26, 2025 to pick up the bike about 3 and a half weeks later i had also notice that my lock out damper switch was missing i asked Bryon which he said was his name OH i do not know what happen i said to him it was there when i dropped it off he had no explanation to why it was missing i then said to him can i order a new one or can you give me one he said we cannot order one for this bike and do not have one for this bike. i cannot replace this lock out damper switch because its an older mountain bike and no one makes it anymore i have L@@KED online over and over and cannot find a replacement for it which leaves me empty handed i cannot get it and makes me angry that this happened he then said OH but you can still use it with or without it the point of me still being able to use the bike with or without it does not matter the point is that i trusted this place and instead could not really get an explanation i think somebody there probably stole it because it never came off my bike at all and now all of a sudden its missing and nobody knows anything he did say one thing if we see it we will call you ya right nobody has called me i was not happy i did not argue and did not yell or make a show i just left and went home when i got home i also notice that there is something wrong with the pedals when i am riding there's some weird cracking noise i did not have this problem before i took it in now i do and have to go some place else to get it checked and spend more money and the cost of there services was not cheap it was a pretty penny just to have something missing and something else wrong that was not there before i took it in. i call trek's corporate office and explained what happened they said were sorry to hear that we will contact trek la mesa and someone will get back to you almost a week now and no one has contacted me i didn't even bothering calling because i know there's not going to be really any explanation. Unless if there's a black cloud following me around Customer Beware

  My first time conducting business at Trek La Mesa. Upon entering the store I was greeted by a friendly person and approaching the service area, I was again friendly greeted. Eddie offered assistance, inquired as to my need and provided prompt, courteous service. He throughly explained the steps to pack and ship my bicycle. Upon purchasing service from Bikeflights and forwarding the shipping information to Trek La Mesa service, my bicycle was promptly shipped to me. Upon receipt of the bike, upon opening it I was quite pleased with the protective wrapping and overall packing. It was, in my opinion. excellent! Friendly people and excellent service…exactly what a cyclist wants from a bicycle shop.

  Just came to a Trek bicycle in La Mesa. One of the best bike shops in all of San Diego. I just love the way they always treat me every time I come in there, such respect. Brother man Ivan, is always helping me to the best of his ability, sharing his best knowledge with me and always gives me the best advice. Appreciate soo much Brothaman. A1 service

  Dropping off my bike was fine, but where my experience excelled was with the pick up. I wish I could remember the gentleman‘s name. He was so kind and helpful. I hate shopping in stores sometimes but this guy made it so easy and comfortable. He didn’t make me feel dumb and answered all of my questions and went really above and beyond the call of duty. If everybody were like him, the world would be a better place. Because of him, I will definitely continue to go back to trek store La Mesa for all of my needs and be recommending all my friends do as well!
