Jacob at Folsom Trek was very helpful on the phone. When we went in, Jacob and others were immediately responsive and helpful. Our 12 and 15 year old daughters wanted help with a mountain bike tire and inner tube. They commented afterwards that Jacob and others were not condescending at all -- instead they were excited that our children wanted to fix it themselves and came outside to see if they needed any extra help later. Again, they did not step in to do it nor treat them as incapable, instead they offered support when a part was stuck and found that for them too -- it was super hard to remove! The children left feeling that the mountain biking community is supportive of their learning and skills. One asked if she could leave them a tip -- and I explained that in this kind of business -- a review might be more effective.
