- RCRichard CohenJan 12, 20261.0I am not happy to have to write a negative to REI Concord, but I must. I've been a customer of this store for 20+ years, and have never had a bad experience until now. This pertains to the ski/bike service shop. I took skis in to have bindings checked as I bought new boots. The bindings, which had originally been mounted at this store a couple of years prior, had an issue when new that was fixed by the binding company and REI. Now the binding has failed again. This time, REI said they called the binding company but didn't get an answer..and they promised to follow up. They did not. I have called them 3 times since, and each time they said they would follow up with the binding company and me, and they have failed to do so. I'd suggest going elsewhere to get service done on your bike or skis if this is the level of service they are offering now.

It is because of employees/people like her, that this is our least favorite REI store - even though it's the closest. We now always drive to one of the other stores.

No large sizes available either and if you hapoen to find something, it will be only one color. Selection of products very poor. Customer service level, very poor. Not do I feel like an intruder when I ask staff a question but also majority employees speak to me in a very condescending tone. On top of that, they have very little knowledge about the products in the store. It seems that employees are very busy with interacting between each other, not the clients. Markings of products on sale are very confusing and not clear. Bicycle service department is just as bad as the rest of the store. I dont even feel like writing about it. I took my business to sports basement when it comes to bike service and other products.
