  Poor experience, our group were hiring 4x skis, boots & poles. One of our group ended up being given two different sized boots by accident and had returned to the store 6 times over 3 days due to issues with the skis coming off mid run and on the lifts (several times). The final straw at the peak of Blackcomb, one of the skis come off coming down a section of steep slope and icy conditions. We checked the boots & skis and noticed the difference in size and that the skis were set to the larger boot. I had to adjust the bindings myself to fit both sized boots (just so she could ski down to the nearest lift to download to the village). We lost a full day skiing and really ruined our first 3 days due knocking my partners confidence hugely, not great for a beginner! This could have ended up in very serious injury. When we returned to the store Lydia the manager was great and did apologise, providing us a full refund for two of us and the opportunity to demo new skis and $40 voucher for the nearby restaurants (she's a real asset to the store). However the store is very hectic and appears disorganised. The ski boots are disgusting and are in poor condition most of which appeared uncleaned and smelly. This was something we are not used to when hiring skis in the Alps. Would not recommend this store.

  The equipment was in poor condition. Very beat up ski skis but more concerning the helmets were very beat up. I've rented from rental providers at various Vail resorts and G1's equipment at the base of Whistler was in the worst condition. The shop itself was not very nice.

  This team are fabulous 👌. I rented ski gear and the boots were a great fit - just pretty much impossible for me to put on by myself. No problem - they just suggested I pop in each morning and get some help, and leave my shoes there. Brilliant.

  The shop itself was pretty disorganized, as it was unclear to us how to only rent a helmet. Additionally, when we eventually got someone to help us, the ski helmet I was given gave me so much pain - the helmet was essentially broken and extremely worn down, pushing on my ears and not tightening correctly. The ear pieces were also not attached to the helmet, providing zero insulation - considering this is the main rental shop at the base, this was extremely disappointing and can potentially be dangerous.

  We received great service at G1 rentals! Lydia was so helpful and accomodating and made the rental experience seamless. Big props to the whole G1 team as everyone was super nice!
