“Policing Water Bottles Isn’t Hospitality” Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2 stars) I’m writing this review as a parent who regularly supports youth bowling leagues and high school matches at Bowl-ero. What happened during the most recent event was baffling. The building was packed with student-athletes, families, and patrons—and yet the location appeared completely understaffed. No servers were available to take orders. Normally, there’s water provided for athletes. This time, staff kept saying, “It’s behind the bar,” but was not highly visible and accessible. By that time, they had been bowling for over an hour or two. I guess the visible amount of water bottles became too much for management and staff to bear?It was a navigation and logistics nightmare to get to water for the athletes. Meanwhile, announcements kept blasting over the PA system: “No outside food or drinks allowed. Please throw away your water bottles.” That’s the part that makes no sense. If you know you’re hosting school competitions and can’t provide adequate hydration or service, why police people for bringing water? These are parents and athletes who come here every week heavily during the fall and winter, spending their money and time to support the sport. It’s not just inconvenient—it’s unsafe. Hydration for athletes is non-negotiable. Bowlero should plan better for league and tournament days, prioritize staffing and guest experience, and focus on service instead of unnecessary policing. We want to support this local business—but please, do better for the families who keep showing up. ⚠️ Update Part 1— November 14, 2025 Following the response asking me to email privately: the issue was already clearly stated. There is only one Bowlero location in Tuscaloosa, and nothing about my experience requires a private conversation. My message remains the same: Do better for the families, athletes, league bowlers, and everyday community members who show up and spend their hard-earned money and time in your facility. Just do better. ⚠️ Update Part 2— November 14, 2025 For clarity: this night 11/11/2025, wasn’t just about local Tuscaloosa families. This was a full varsity and junior varsity athletic event involving multiple schools— James Clemens, Spain Park, Tuscaloosa County High, and others — with ranked teams, traveling families, and athletes competing under one roof. These students, coaches, and families brought their school pride, their time, their energy, and their hard-earned money into your facility. Some drove an hour or more to be there. This was not a casual crowd; this was a committed community event. And here’s the part that should matter most: These young bowlers are your future adult league members. They are your future weekly customers, your future tournament participants, the ones who will return with their own families — if they feel valued now. The connection is not complicated. My message remains the same: Just do better. Be kind. Be polite. Be considerate of the athletes, families, and community members who support your facility — now and in the future. What’s so hard about that?

Expensive!!!! We strolled in for a casual family night and we're blown away by the prices.... All drinks were overpriced and $36/person for 3 games... 😮 Drinks were average and even water has to be purchased as bottles for $4 each....

Most awful experience ever!!! We were there with our wedding party tonight, my brother is getting married tomorrow. One person in our wedding party placed an order and it was wrong, so she placed a different order for something else and it was also wrong. So she was complaining to me about it,and another member of our party went to get management's to file a complaint and the manger ended up kicking us out. Our waitress got upset hearing the complaint and management came kicked us out and she also called TPD. Most insane experience ever. And she wouldn’t even listen to anyone in our party but the employee got in the face of the person she got the order wrong of and was trying to fight telling her to “Jump. But the police was called on us. Not one of the staff listened or the manger when trying to explain. The manager instead said we were being confrontational because we wouldn’t leave when trying to explain.
