  This place is just the worst for buying a gun. They have the slowest processes, the most uneducated staff and the place is just not set up to be efficient. I will NEVER buy a gun from here again. I was there for almost 2 hours waiting on them to process people. They basically can only process one person at a time so if you get someone who’s id is taking longer to go through then you just have to wait.they are way over complicating this process.

  Thank you so much for wasting my time! I walked in to the store at 3:30pm looking to purchase my first firearm. I was on facetime with my brother as he was helping me make my first purchase as he owns the brand of firearm I was interested in. I asked to hold the gun to be sure of my purchase and I was denied at first but asked again and it was fine. I was also told that the employee who does the background checks was on lunch break and to come back after 5pm. Okay, I go sit in my car and end up ordering the firearm online. Then around 5 I walk back in and am told the employee is still not back from lunch, and to leave my phone number and order number and they’ll give me a call when he is. Okay, again I sit in my car. Around 5:40 I walk back in after not receiving any calls, to see that there are two people at the register completing background checks. But I sit and wait my turn. It’s now almost 7pm and I completed my background check and everything just to be told I was flagged by the employee for being on the phone and also because I asked for clarification for a question and also because I turned 21 less than 30 days ago. But then the employee tells me he was going to give me the benefit of the doubt, and it’s only because the 30day policy that I can’t purchase this firearm today. I then search up whatever law or policy that is that you can’t purchase a firearm less than 30 days from your birthday, and it doesn’t exist. I tell the employee who told me that, and he tries to find it and say it’s a Academy policy, but he couldn’t even find it because it doesn’t exist. Okay, so can i purchase my firearm? Then I get told I can’t because of the flag and he was sugar coating the reason I couldn’t make a purchase today. I ask for his manager and explain the story, the manager asks the employee again if he is going to deny or accept my check, and he says no. Of course he does, I just caught him in his BS. I am never coming back to this store again, mind you i’m a girl, so that’s probably why they weren’t taking me seriously. Just because i’m half the size of the men in there does not mean I don’t have a right to own a firearm, I was buying a $700 gun that not even the men in there were buying that nice of a gun. I understand they can deny you for anything, but the run around is what gets it for me. I wasted 4 hours of my time and got the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. If I could give 0 stars I would. Absurd.

  10 people waiting to buy guns and they can only process one person at a time. You literally have to wait for the person in front of you to be approved for their gun purchase before you can even start filling out paperwork. What a joke! 4 people behind the counter is just a waste. They had some decent deals, but I bought the same gun for $50 more on gunbroker while I was in the store rather than wait an indeterminate number of hours to be processed. Something needs to change if they want to be serious about selling guns in Virginia.
