Very disappointed with this location. Prices are often higher than what you would pay brand new in a regular retail store, which defeats the purpose of thrifting.
What really crossed the line was witnessing an employee today sorting through incoming items and pulling the good stuff aside into a separate basket to give to his wife to purchase. When I asked about the items, I was told they were not for sale and were being held for a “friend.” That’s extremely shady and unfair to customers.
This kind of behavior ruins trust and makes the shopping experience feel dishonest. I won’t be returning to this location. If i could give 0 stars i would. I thrift all over the state of Utah and i would rate this the worst thrift in the state.

Not surprised in the least. Walked in and experienced what I thought I would. Thank goodness I’m not from Utah/tainted. Not worth it.

You can find great stuff here if you're willing to battle the vultures disguised as resellers. The number of times I've seen "customers" here chase down employees with carts bringing out new products is insane and, honestly, disturbing to watch. I'm all for people reselling and flipping products, but when it starts to look like a herd of animals fighting over a piece of meat, it's just pathetic. This obviously isn't directly the fault of the employees, but I regularly shop at DI and never see this kind of behavior at the Riverton or Sandy locations. This location needs to address this behavior, as it spoils the shopping experience for those looking to find nice things for themselves and their families. Raising prices to reduce profits for resellers doesn't work because it means the people who actually want to use the item for themselves are also paying more for a product that should typically cost $5. It's really disappointing because I've found such great stuff from this specific DI, but now it feels like I have to fight people to look at a nice pair of shoes, and I probably won't be coming back to this DI again just to protect my peace.
