  When using Goodwill Industries of San Antonio via ShopGoodwill, be prepared for this warehouse to overstate shipping weight to 200+% of the actual weight to boost sales on donated items. Literally, items which were given to them for FREE! I recently bought 3 NCAA football jerseys all of which weigh 1.3-1.5 lbs. each or an approximate total weight of 4.3 lbs. I offered to pay up to 7 lbs. ship weight which is incredibly generous because this location ships in either plastic or Tyvek bags which weigh less than a lb. total. The employee servicing my order was dismissive and non-helpful when I brought the issue up multiple times. This warehouse charged me 12.2 lbs. for 4.3 lbs. of sports paraphrenia. Attached is a screenshot of my order before I paid. As a high volume buyer on the SGW platform, I've put this location on my "naughty - do not buy from" list. Until they resolve their shipping discrepancies, I encourage others to take their business to other state's SGW locations where they are treated fairly and not dismissed.

  As a single parent, I recently visited one of your Goodwill Outlet locations seeking affordable clothing options. Unfortunately, I was denied entry because my three-year-old child was not permitted inside. As someone with limited childcare options, this experience was both discouraging and disheartening. I want to express my deep concern about this policy. For many families like mine, Goodwill represents a place of hope and accessibility — a resource meant to support those navigating financial hardship. However, policies that exclude parents with young children directly contradict that mission. Additionally, I’ve noticed a significant increase in pricing at standard Goodwill stores, which has made even basic necessities difficult to afford. To be turned away at the outlet — the one place meant to remain accessible — felt not only unfair but also completely out of touch with the challenges faced by struggling families. I urge Goodwill to reevaluate these policies and consider the real-world impact they have on parents and caregivers. Your organization’s stated purpose is to help individuals in need, and this kind of restriction undermines that mission entirely.

  Drove 30 min to find out this is a "bin" store and not set up as retail. Staff rewuire you to have gloves to even go thru bins. Nothing but junk. Not worth the trip at all.

  This place is horrible, first you have to have gloves to enter second if you dont have gloves they're selling for $2 third no children under 12. None of this was on their website. We drove from the other side of town just to be turned away. We just went next door to Texas thrift.

  You can find some really good deals here as everything is priced by the pound. Be ware though the ppl can get aggressive here especially when a new bin comes out. I’d recommend bringing gloves and maybe a big grocery bag as the shipping carts are normally taken.
