- BLBrian LockhartNov 7, 20251.0Came in for a store pick up. My home store is Webster (great). Got a rod and reel for my son and some fishing clothes. The rod and reel they gave me was missing the reel handle and it was a 4000, not the 3000 I’d ordered. They didn’t have any replacements in stock (drove 70 min round trip for this specific reel) which the website said was in stock. On top that; one of the pieces of clothing was the wrong size, they asked me to go look for the right size to exchange…so I did, while waiting for the rod situation to be handled. Couldn’t find it. Came back to the front and told them I couldn’t and asked them to please find it. They then confirmed they didn’t have the size ordered (also had shown available online). On top of that, had I gotten the rod, the person who spools the rods was not in the store at the moment and wouldn’t be so for 4 more hours. Every time I’ve been into Webster there’s someone there that can spool a rod. The gentleman whose name badge indicated he was a senior lead, was extremely slow and not helpful. He had issues every step of the way. I eventually had to go to one of the cashiers to assist me, which she did. I did interact with two other employees, the store mgr (I think) and a gun counter rep, both were very helpful and nice to deal with. I will never come back to this location.

When we asked a few questions about the dumbbells, one of the staff members responded rudely and seemed unwilling to help. Another employee standing near the counter kept staring at us and appeared to be making fun of us for no reason. Their behavior felt disrespectful and made us very uncomfortable.

This is the second time I've gone to pick up something in store and its a $20-40 difference. Just save yourself a trip and order your stuff from Amazon.
