- NCNina CruzNov 5, 20251.0I went to Academy around 8:30 p.m. to buy a fishing reel that was in a locked case. I went to the hunting department for assistance and knew exactly which reel I wanted. The female associate asked her male coworker if he could help me, and he flat-out said “no.” She then told me, “Well, I guess it’s closed for the night, come back tomorrow.” It was very unprofessional and disappointing to be turned away simply because neither employee wanted to help. I came ready to make a purchase, but their attitude and lack of customer service completely changed my experience.
- BRB P RobinsonOct 28, 20251.0If you’re handicapped, or need to use an electric cart, don’t come here during whatever the employee called “overstock season”, because you’ll have a hard time getting around anywhere, and a harder time finding an employee that gives a damn that you took time out of your day to spend your money while in a cast. Furthermore, if you happen to make it down an aisle, and see something on sale, pay no attention. That sale marked item doesn’t count until it’s rang up at the register, no matter if there is a group (Columbia wind breaker) of them hanging under a sign that said 30% off… and don’t expect to find an employee to offer anything but “I guess we hung it in the wrong spot”. Way to go Academy. Don’t count on me giving you an opportunity to treat me like that twice.

I walked in with my friend and she went her way for what she was wanting and I went to the shoes. I browsed the shoes department and did not find the sketchers I liked. Since I never really go to Academy, I decided to walk around and look at clothes and camping stuff just to browse then I sat down at the front waiting for my friend to finish. Anyway, we did not purchase anything but as we walked out they stopped us as the front and said "We have been monitoring your shopping habbits and do not come back to the store." I have never in my whole life been told something like this. This has litterally upset me so bad I don't understand why and the guy wouldn't tell me. I am writing corporate.
