You can make your own cuddly friend at the Build-A-Bear Workshop® inside Cook Children's Medical Center, the first to be located in a hospital setting.
First, you can choose from a variety of animals to make, then you can stuff your new friend, give it a heart filled with wishes and make a personalized birth certificate.
The Cook Children's store offers a selection of furry friends, clothing and accessories with a medical theme, including: "Get Better Sets" with crutches, slings, bandages and casts, Wheelchairs, Doctor Scrubs, and more!
I wish I had checked the reviews before making such a long trip. This Build-A-Bear is located inside a children’s hospital, which already limits accessibility—but more importantly, it doesn’t offer the standard selection or experience the brand is known for. There were no classic birthday bears or traditional store options available. At first, I thought the place was empty because of the location, but now I realize it’s because the experience is so limited. Worst of all, the pricing is inflated, especially considering the vulnerable families they’re serving. Profiting from sick children is deeply disappointing.

This shop was a little complicated because it was inside the Cooks Children’s Hospital I ended up taking a long walk to be able to get to the store

I was there with my younger sister who is special ed, every body made her feel like The VIP, no words to describe how amazing the staff was.
There is a hand washing station by the entrance for all visitors and customers to wash hands before going in, all staff wearing a face mask correctly and all super patient and caring.
I was there on 6/18/2020 around 10:00 am to 11:00am,would like to mention specific names but would feel embarrassed if I leave one out of the list, everybody was awesome, thank you for the experience, so uplifting!
