I am extremely disappointed with this store. My husband and his parents went in to purchase Christmas gifts and were assisted by the manager, Jennifer. When my father-in-law dropped off the toys, he gave his last name. He is French and has a very strong accent. The manager wrote “Homer” on the note, clearly a reference to Homer Simpson, based on his appearance. My husband took a photo of the note that was sitting on the toys.
Making fun of customers is unacceptable. Our family has made it a point to support Toy Maven for years rather than shopping on Amazon, and this experience makes me regret that loyalty. I called and spoke directly with the manager, who claimed my father-in-law told her that was his name. That is simply not possible, he cannot even pronounce the word “Homer,” and my husband was present and clearly heard him give our last name, which has no resemblance to that name. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and basic kindness shown by the staff. It’s a sad world we live in, especially when adults cannot even be kind to each other…

Always very nice and patient staff, wide variety of toys, and Calico Critters if anyone collects them! Prices are a good $12 more than other places but worth it for the variety.
