From the Motor City to the Music City, Carhartt’s new home of hard work at Fifth and Broadway in the heart of Music City is built to outfit and serve the hardworking people of Nashville, and well beyond. Famous for its historic Country Music roots and some of the finest southern cooking we’ve tasted, this fun and family-oriented city knows a thing or two about working and playing hard. Now, Carhartt is proud to call the Music City home, and provide its hardworking people with rugged and comfortable gear they can count on 24/7.
Went there to get a jacket and saw the cutest tote bag and a beanie and got that as well. Felt racially profiled: 1. The man told me I couldn’t pay in cash and looked over jokingly to his boss like “no not at the moment.” 2. He removed the tag to my jacket as if I was a criminal doing fraudulent activity. I had cash to pay for the jacket as it was given to me to purchase the jacket I wanted for a Christmas gift. And paid for the beanie and tote with card. I had both forms of payment in my hand the entire transaction. Even if it is store policy to “remove” tags the employee should be given some type of script to say “I’m removing the tab per store policy, if you’d like to return this item blah blah.” Luckily my jacket fits, otherwise Carhartt on broadway would have a big problem. There is no excuse for this: The beanie and tote still have the tags on them. Never shopping in store again. #thatwasracist #irritating

Love the product. My shopping experience was a bit disrespectful/embarrassing. Was in the store no more than 3 - 5 mins before an employee asked to take the items I had to the front of the store in the midst of me trying to shop. Lady asked no one else in the store this so to ask me this with 1 item in my hand I felt disrespected as if she was insinuating I was attempting to steal.
