About

Thrift Store
The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

I am sick of seeing such price-gouging from a place labeled as a non-profit. About 95% of items your items are donated, but yet you price items so high that the struggling families in our community can't afford to shop here. (Don't shop here... Instead support America's Thrift Store and Outreach Thrift... Both are half the price of this store!) How can a non-profit pay one of your many CEOs $500k to $2.3m? Price-gouging is exactly how. Greedywill, your time is over and we are done with this nonsense.

Edit: The prices have been much better lately Idk who's been pricing stuff this week but the prices have been ridiculous. I go to this goodwill instead of the one off church st because they have the same problem. This is GOODWILL, not a bougie consignment shop. $2 off retail for a used item is crazy.

Staff is very nice but the store isn't very organized. There's too many clothes jammed onto racks to look properly and the rest of the store is in disarray. Quite frankly it needs a good cleaning too
