  Went online last night looking for deck boots. Website said you had multiple sizes and colors. Drive all the way to your store to find 3 pairs. Two size 8 and same color and one size 13. How can your counts be off so bad when you have only been open for a week?

  Be sure to check price tags before purchasing. I went to buy a Freely brand hoodie tonight and the actual Freely cardboard price tag said $39.99 and below that, Academy stuck their own white sticker on top of that price to $49.99 and it was done this way on every single one of the Freely clothing items. One person made a mistake and had the sticker sitting right below the Freely cost instead of over top like the rest. I don’t know if they just think we are stupid or can’t do math but I most definitely didn’t walk out with one and won’t be buying. You guys are scamming people and I want to make sure people know how dishonest you guys are.

  This store is amazing and very friendly and helpful staff. I was happy to have a sporting goods store that's close to home! Plus they sell all of my ammo and fitness needs which is a huge plus!

  Placed an order on line. I was told my order would be at the store on a specific date. Through my account with them it shows the order arrived a day earlier. I call the store several times during the day and no answer. I go to the store and was told the order will arrive the following day as originally stated. I called the store several times at the advised day and no answer. Finally someone answered and the order is not there, even though it says in my account the order is ready. The people who answered the phone were not customer service friendly. It felt like I was bothering them. I had better hopes for this place. I am not a casual customer. I have spent several thousands in the past few years on Academy. I feel very let down. I don’t want to hear excuses- no one does. The Franklin store already let me down with their poor customer service. This is the second Academy store to let me down in less than two months. We, as customers, understand things happen. What we refuse to accept is poor customer service.

  I went there on Grand Opening and there was very little staff. I wanted to buy a few bait cast reel's , the kid said there wasn't anyone there that could help me look at some in the cases, I had found a guy to help me in the back of clothing, he came up with me to the case, he didn't have a key to unlock the case and asked the guy I originally asked for a key, which he had and given it to him, and when he opened the case all the reels they had were for right handed people. Left handed people fish too. Very disappointed. You all need to have a little bit more selection for everyone.
