We had a great experience at the Rolex boutique today. From the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted by David, who took the time to get to know us and our preferences while sharing his knowledge and passion for watches in a genuine way. He was especially thoughtful and patient with my girlfriend, bringing out a few beautiful pieces from the window displays as she begins her search for her first Rolex. He also took the time with me as I explored one of my dream pieces. We really appreciated the care and attention throughout, as well as the thoughtful follow-up - thank you, David.

Had the best experience with Zack at Royal de Versailles. He is an outstanding advisor and someone I’d recommend to anyone looking for a Rolex. Three friends suggested I reach out to him, and now I see why. From the beginning, Zack was professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable.
He took the time to explain the history of Rolex, the story behind the Datejust, and what makes certain pieces unique. Throughout the two-year wait, he kept me updated and made sure I always knew where things stood.
When the call finally came that my watch had arrived, it felt well worth the wait. Zack made the entire process enjoyable, informative, and stress-free. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about his clients and knows the world of watches inside and out, he is the person to see.
For my fourth stop in my Rolex journey, I visited Royal de Versailles Jewellers. I have to say, they had the exact exhibition pieces I was hoping to see. I got to try on the GMT “Bruce Wayne” and a Datejust with the dial color I was looking for, and both looked incredible in person. I genuinely appreciated the chance to see and try those models during my visit.
Before going in, I had actually found the name of the sales associate through Reddit. Several people had shared positive reviews about their experience with him, so I was looking forward to connecting. Maybe it just wasn’t the right day, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations.
The associate wasn’t open to adding me to a waitlist or having a meaningful conversation about the pieces. He kept repeating, “We have a backlog from 2020, and I can’t add your name” The only alternative offered was one specific Datejust dial variation that I was not looking for! Looking back, I wish I had simply said thank you and walked out.
I would prefer not to have any transaction at a place where the interaction feels that one sided. With the other ADs I visited, even if allocations weren’t guaranteed, they took the time to get to know me and see how they could assist. It wasn’t just black and white. I believe those conversations are the key in today’s Rolex journey, especially for new clients.
While the exhibition experience was great, the overall service felt closed off. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend Royal de Versailles purchase.
