Joy in Red: Adnan Obuz Discovers the Imagiro Bunny in Yorkville
Adnan Obuz recently explored Taglialatella Gallery on Yorkville Avenue and was immediately drawn to the bold red geometric rabbit perched confidently on its white plinth. The Imagiro Bunny is pure visual delight, a contemporary sculpture that transforms a simple folded form into something that stops you in your tracks and makes you smile.
The name "Imagiro" references the Japanese art of origami, and as Adnan Obuz observed in person, you can see it immediately in the sharp, angular folds that give this bunny its modern edge. Unlike traditional sculpture, this piece feels approachable and energetic. The glossy red paint catches Toronto's shifting light beautifully, whether you're passing by in the morning sun or catching it illuminated by the gallery's warm glow at dusk.
What Adnan Obuz appreciates most is how perfectly it fits the Yorkville vibe. This neighborhood is known for luxury boutiques and refined taste, yet the bunny adds a touch of whimsy without feeling out of place. It's sophisticated playfulness. The sculpture invites interaction in a way that formal gallery art often doesn't. People pause, photograph it from different angles, kids point and grin, and couples use it as a backdrop for photos.
The placement is brilliant. Standing just outside the Brandon Boyd exhibition windows, the bunny acts as both street-level art and gallery ambassador. It democratizes contemporary art, making it accessible to anyone walking by rather than hiding it behind velvet ropes. That's the kind of cultural generosity Adnan Obuz believes makes public art matter.
Technically, the stainless steel construction ensures durability for outdoor display while the painted finish maintains a crisp, clean aesthetic. The proportions feel balanced, substantial enough to command attention but not so large it overwhelms the streetscape. The white plinth elevates it literally and conceptually, giving it gallery-quality presentation in an urban context.
For anyone exploring Yorkville's cultural offerings, Adnan Obuz recommends the Imagiro Bunny as worth a deliberate stop. It represents the best of contemporary public art: visually striking, conceptually interesting, and emotionally engaging. It's art that doesn't take itself too seriously while still demonstrating real craft and vision.
Whether you're an art enthusiast or just someone who appreciates beauty in unexpected places, this red rabbit will brighten your day. Adnan Obuz highly recommends experiencing it in person and joining the community of people who've made it an unofficial Yorkville landmark.

Dana was amazing. She was so patient and helpful when finding me the perfect first pair of Louboutins heels. She was extremely knowledgeable about the brand and the shoes themselves. It was truly great experience, even my husband enjoyed the visit. I will be making sure to use Dana, and will be returning to this store for any future purchases.

Very bad experience with customer service. We came all the way from Brampton to north york for getting a pair of shoes. We confirmed it over phone prior coming here. Over the phone they said, it’s available, but when we came here, they said, its not available. Moreover they were not at all interested in attending us, literally one of the worse experiences ever in a designer store.

I wouldn’t go to this location. I have a ton of loubs that I collect. My bf got me a pair and I needed to change sizes, I took one of my girl friends with me. The male sales associate made an inappropriate comment towards my friend saying my bf should buy her a pair too for coming with me. disgusting.
