- LHLysa H5 days ago1.0Bought a pair of Birkenstock Bostons in the Taupe colour, but when I got home I realized the shoes looked like two different colours. I had to ask an associate to get me the pair from the back, and I guess they didn’t get a close enough look but I was given 1 shoe from 2 different pairs so there was a noticeable shade difference. I checked the codes in the sole of the shoe as well, and they were two different codes. I assume since it’s natural suede, there is potential for a shade difference in their shoes even if it’s the same colour. I went back to the store to ask for a refund or at least get the matching shoe. I was able to get a refund but I did want to get this shoe so I asked an associate to help me get another pair - and I’d double check the colour/code before repurchasing. The manager heard me ask to see another pair and very rudely said “buddy they’re all the same colour” even though I had already explained to her that every pair has a different code. Such an unnecessarily condescending remark and incredibly unhelpful. This was really frustrating as it takes me 1.5 hours to drive to Vaughan but I had to come back to this location to return the mismatched pair. I decided not to repurchase from here and went somewhere else. But this was a frustrating experience due to the lack of attention to detail from their associates/manager - it could’ve all been easily avoided.

The cashier — an Asian woman with long eyelashes and very long nails — treated me and my daughter with such disrespect. From the moment we approached the counter, she acted as if we were beneath her. She even corrected the spelling of my name several times in a rude way and slammed the keyboard angrily in front of us. When I accidentally said a letter wrong while spelling my name, she actually yelled at me! I was honestly shocked. There are so many people out there looking for jobs who would treat customers with kindness — she should not be in customer service. We always come to this store and everyone else is usually very nice, but this was truly an unpleasant experience. If I could give zero stars, I would.
