I've been to so many hunting stores and gunshops with people behind the counter, Who kinda know a little but talk down to the customers like they know everything. You won't find anybody like that behind the counter here. Everyone there is professional, & treat their customers like customers.
- SDscott darnerOct 24, 20251.0I finally saved the money to purchase a firearm I have been pining over for the past 20 years and found one available through an online dealer. Prior to purchasing I contacted several FFLs to ensure proper transfer of the pistol without complication and after speaking with Mrs. Doerflein at the Bass Pro in West Chester I was confident that the transfer would be simple and convenient as I work flex shifts. This morning I arrived to fill out the proper documentation and process the background check but instead the staff refused the transfer outright. I was told the package included a pistol brace, thus qualifying the firearm as a "weapon of mass destruction". After speaking with the manager I was told that he contacted the compliance officer ( whom I was never able to speak with nor given his name) refused to approve the transfer. At minimum this will cost me several weeks of emails and phone calls dealing with customer service, shipment tracking, refund and or repurchasing, and locating qualified FFls.
