The Carhartt store at Destiny USA opened its doors on May 1st 2013.
Destiny USA, previously known as the Carousel Center, is a six-story super-regional shopping and entertainment complex on the shores of Onondaga Lake. It is the sixth largest shopping center in the nation and the largest in the state of New York. The site of Destiny USA was formally Marley Scrap Yard, a brownfield site, which was surrounded by several square blocks of oil tanks, collectively named "Oil City". Just to the South of Destiny is the Franklin Square neighborhood that has been updated and modernized to preserve its industrial heritage.

I am a very, very large man (6'11", 380lbs.) and was having little luck finding anything on the internet. As a kind of last ditch effort, I called the store in Destiny and my call was answered by Ernie. I asked what was the biggest coat they had. Suffice to say... It was not big enough. I explained my situation and rather than saying "Sorry." and just ending the call, Ernie took some time to find out what I needed and did what he could to find a coat that would fit. He had me come down to the store, try on the biggest one they had which "fit" but wasn't quite big enough and was able to order one for me in a larger size. Excellent experience. Will be getting more things from here in the future.

Lorraine is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She is a Carhartt historian. Ernie is right there on the spot to help but neither of them are pushy. They are welcoming and know a lot about the products! I recommend them immensely.
