From my very first purchase, Alexis has been incredible. He originally worked with me on that first visit and was professional, helpful, and endlessly patient. Since then, I always ask for him when booking my appointments because I trust his expertise and genuinely enjoy working with him. I was thrilled with my first purchase. Unfortunately, one of my pieces fell out right before Thanksgiving, and I was completely devastated. I called Alexis, not really expecting much to be done, but once again he exceeded my expectations. He was so friendly, accommodating, and truly listened to my concerns. He encouraged me to come in that weekend and ask for Ann. Ann, the manager, was absolutely fantastic. I left the store beyond happy—and honestly a little shocked—by how helpful, understanding, and solution-oriented she was. The outcome we came up with was more than I could have hoped for. I’d also love to highlight Ashley, who placed the jewelry that day. She is incredibly talented and has such a wonderful bedside manner. While I love getting new piercings, I don’t love the pain, and even though we were just changing jewelry, I still felt nervous. Ashley immediately put me at ease, walked me through every step, and made the entire experience calm and comfortable. I will personally be asking for her for my next piercing. Alexis, Ann, and Ashley are truly outstanding. The jewelry is gorgeous, well worth the price, and I no longer shop anywhere else for my ear pieces. I recommend asking for any of these three to anyone new to Maria Tash—they make the experience fun, seamless, and truly luxurious. Thank you for such exceptional service. Butterflies and lotus have special meanings for me. So, of course I had to get some. I do love @mariatash Everyone there is amazing. Especially, Caroline!! Dana did a fantastic job with placement of my piercings. I’ve been going there for many, many years. I just wish they would do something about the aging store. It kinda felt like they forgot about their Flagship Store! The other stores are state of the art, polished, secure, and shiny! This store feels like the redheaded stepchild. Totally forgotten. Are your earrings sold as singles or pairs?
Maria Tash jewelry is sold as singles unless otherwise stated. To order a pair, please add two of the items to your cart. Our large earrings are the only items we sell in pairs. These items are pictured as a pair and the product description also states that they’re sold as a pair.
What size jewelry works best for me?
Our experience involves you pairing one-on-one with our stylists to completely guide you through your styling and piercing. There are multiple sizes to our jewelry, but our team will make sure that you are properly sized and confident.
What is the difference between a threaded and traditional stud?
Threaded backings use a screw-on/off design that makes the earring stay more securely in the ear. This is our standard style of jewelry. A traditional backing is also available. This is the traditional style of earring where you have a butterfly back that is separate and pushes onto the post to hold the jewelry in place.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Appointments are preferred for piercings but walk-ins are always welcome depending on availability. Appointments are not required for fittings and installs or purchasing jewelry.
Can I be pierced with my own jewelry?
Due to sterilization needs, we do not pierce with jewelry that is not Maria Tash. The best selections from our full collection will be available for styling and piercing. Our styles come in white, yellow, rose, and black gold. You're welcome to bring in your existing Maria Tash pieces and consult with a piercer to see if it can be used for an initial piercing.
How many piercings can I get in one session?
We recommend up to four piercings per session, but this is dependent on the piercings you are thinking about and your anatomy. Our stylists and piercers can best consult with you during your visit.
Can I be pierced if I am under 18?
Yes, please see piercing services page for each Maria Tash location. You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and you both must bring ID with you. If the parent/legal guardian and child have different surnames, we require further identification to confirm guardianship i.e. a birth certificate. Earlobe piercing may be done at 5 years of age and up, cartilage piercing at 16 years and up.
Do you pierce with a needle or a piercing gun?
All of our piercings are made with single use sterile needles rather than piercing guns. We do not use piercing guns as they are not very accurate and cannot be properly sterilized.
