Very nice place ! Do not listen to people who write that it is bad. If you are a true New Yorker - you know many shops hold cats and it’s exciting charm of visiting local places. Better help Mr.BooBoo (cat with cancer) who is happy to see everyone no matter do they like him or not. We all can have our hard times but it is important to support ones in need. Don’t be a snob and help BooBoo.

I love cats, and I was excited to come here both for the books and to give some scritches. But this store is unbelievably dirty and unkempt. Trash lying around, one of the cats was laying in its bed on top of a dirty bowl of food (poor thing), random food, silverware, and other home objects stashed on bookshelves. Very musty and dusty. Feels like visiting someone’s messy, dirty home. That is not what a bookstore ought to be. That being said, the owner was very pleasant, and the kitties are very cute.

I highly recommend this bookstore. I bought the book The Dark Face of Love there; the salesman named Joe handed me the book with a smile and wished me a nice day :)

I was so excited to visit the store and the minute i walked in I knew I had to get out. It reeks of cat Because of the multiple cat beds throughout the small store. I never saw a cat, but this place, obviously houses several as evidence by the food plates and number of cat cushions through. There were four large Chews boxes waiting to be opened. There is discarded food stuffed into corners, dirty dishes and glasses as well. It looks like a college frat house and smells like Great Aunt Bessie’s house. Ewe.

It’s sad that the only bookshop in my immediate neighborhood looks and smells like this. My husband and I couldn’t last more than 5 minutes in there with the stench of urine (presumably from the cats living there). Also I noticed food in old containers on the bottom shelves. The owners or someone is definitely living in that space. It’s absolutely gross. I can picture this as an incredible space if cleaned up and organized one day. Someone with vision and interest to bring a bit of a literary edge to this part of town. This unfortunately is not it.
