I clipped a coupon on a mailed circulair for a $4.99 watch battery, which brought me into the store for a battery change. I went to pick up the watch and when I got the bill it was $7.99. I presented the coupon and she said the coupon means $1 off the replacement battery. That's not what the coupon says! There was no fine print with $1 anywhere! I didn't want to argue over a $2 but this appears to be a bait and switch! To be honest, I don't have a good feeling about this shop which sells vintage watches , consigned jewelry, buys gold . They are out to make money no matter how little the profit. It feels like a 42 street jewelry shop. I wouldn't come here for jewelry or to sell my gold. I hope The $2 earned was worth it for Monroe Jewelers.
