It's fine for general outdoor goods. I've never been terribly excited about price, selection or service. It's fine for what they sell. Purchased targets, black rifle coffee and some fishing supplies. They have a better than average firearms cleaning area so if you need supplies for that in a pinch it's a definite yes.

I have tried numerous times to call into the firearms department unfortunately, I never get a real person.. It just rings and rings and rings... It would be nice to be able to check the availability of a fire on before I drive 45 minutes to go up there and purchase it from them, but obviously that's not going to happen... Looks like I'll be buying it from someone else... Absolutely horrible customer service!!!

The 1 star is for the employees that work the gun counter only. 1st guy tried to talk me out of a gun sale saying it was too expensive and I should wait for Black Friday (2 weeks from now.) I had to speak with another associate to help us with the checkout and application. I could not understand a complete sentence that came out of this guys mouth he was talking so fast. Staring down on me while filling out the questionnaire. According to the drill sergeant store associate the background check failed and I needed to contact the state police. The state police stated they have nothing to do with rifle sales and that the store associate never submitted the application. According to the state police, there is nothing in their records preventing me from the purchase of a firearm. They told me to go to another store and buy a firearm. Why did this store associate deny me? He treated me like crap the 1st time I even spoke with him. Why does one aggravated employee get to dictate who purchases a firearm? What a miserable man! Were you saving that firearm for someone else or did you just have a personal issue with me? They have lost all of my and my family’s business. Never again with that jerk. I was just trying to buy a rifle to go hunting with my boys. We own and have purchased firearms everywhere else with no issues.

I have had several unpleasant experiences at the firearms department. Too bad, because I like their fishing section. I might go back if I have a gift card, otherwise I’ll take my business elsewhere. FYI Bass Pro Shops uses their aquariums to qualify as a museum & avoid paying local taxes. Thanks for giving back, Bass Pro 👎

This store has gone so far downhill over the past couple months it's a joke. Apparently within the last couple months 3/4 of the gun department either got fired or quit all at once. The people there now are completely ignorant. Got two calls today to come pick up a gun that I still can't pick up, immediately canceled. Rude employees there now unfortunately with absolutely zero knowledge about guns or the process of purchasing them. Shooters is only a few miles away and has a much better and much more knowledgeable staff.
