I had a very pleasant experience with the young lady that helped me. They are very good on Gold and diamonds but they do not give money for other precious stones unless you have a gemologist certificate. I do understand that with all that jewelers can do now to enhance a stone and the man made gems at jewelry stores, they need to protect themselves. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience and I am satisfied with the amount that I was given!

I saw the event on Facebook. They were at a jewelry store about 45 minutes away from me in Auburn, Alabama. I was greeted by the store personnel who took my information and left me to a sweet person named Grace. She was very knowledgeable, informative, and left it entirely up to me if I wanted to sell my jewelry or keep it. I feel the prices she had for each item was fair. She actually double checked the value of gold to make sure of her price. I did sell and keep some jewelry. I was issued a check on the spot. I actually went back the next day with my husband. We found another piece of jewelry we wanted to know about. She explained about the weight and value of the diamonds on the piece we brought. We decided to keep it, I wear it anyway. I was very impressed with Grace and her knowledge and especially her kindness. I would recommend National Rarities to anyone looking to sell, or just have a value of their items.

Kevin Logan’s professionalism gave me confidence that he knew the difference between the different types of gold and silver. He did a great job separating the costume jewelry. The separated piles of different metals with dollar value made it easier for me to make a decision on what to sell vs what to keep. This was the first time I did this, so I did not know what to expect. The two hour wait was worth the time. Kevin even came out to our vehicle to look at silver pieces and additional items. We did not feel rushed, and he took his time doing a great job. I had a pleasant experience with him.

I received a flyer in the mail notifying me about a 3 day event at yellow door. I had some items that I was curios about their value. Not knowing what to expect when I entered the location, I was pleasantly surprised. I was immediately greeted by a rep, she took my info and told me I'll be seen shortly. After looking at the many items on the premises I was directed to a counter where I displayed my items. The person evaluating my items was knowledgeable about some of the items and communicated with someone on his phone with items he wasn't familiar with. He was very up front with me and overall gave my items a very fair evaluation. I would definitely return with some more items when they return to that location in a few months.

OK The people were very nice and respectful. The one thing this company does that Astor does not do is they review each item separately instead of giving one figure that does not tell the seller what they are getting for each item. Having said that though this is not a place in most cases to bring your "collectable's" as advertised. Not in silver or gold anyway. This is the same as bringing your gold and silver jewelry to a pawn shop where they weigh it and offer scrap price. Only high end designers are getting more than that. I was disappointed but not surprised that my sterling silver Danbury Mint Boston Tea Party plate was treated as scrap. I also noticed the same for Native American items and if the item is not marked it automatically is assumed it is silver plate which is interesting in a day and age where many marked items especially imports are fake.
