    Timothy at the ebar, was so kind. He was so helpful and just a pleasure to interact with. I asked a coworker of his what his name was so I could leave a review. She smiled and already knew I would say how kind he is! I would also like to shout out Reva (I hope I’m spelling this correctly) at the fragrance counter. At first I was talking to a different woman who wasn’t all that interested in helping me, then comes Reva. What felt like an off experience at first ended up feeling like I was talking with a friend. An absolute gem of a woman. Timothy and Reva alone made me want to come back (this isn’t my usual Nordstrom.) They definitely deserve recognition.

    I had a near traumatic experience yesterday due to the young woman who I assume was the manager doing returns. Just the day prior I came in and purchased a pair of boots that were seemingly comfortable when I tried them on that (morning). (After shopping all day) I came back- purchased the shoe and went back home to model them for my spouse (that evening). That is when the issue was evident, the shoe was not only stiff at the bend of my leg and ankle,but it was pinching my toe as well. I reluctantly decided to return them the next morning, and my plan was to simply (purchase another boot, as well as shoes for my family, perfume, and cologne-I had a whole list.) The way the manager instantly said that “the shoe couldn’t be returned because it was pinching” my toe was absurd to me, in what life must you endure this? I told her to look at the receipt, I did not wear these, that I don’t even partake in New year’s celebrations. She didn’t want to hear it. It was embarrassing. The male clerk just walked away and returned to finish the transaction, he didn’t have anything to say to sooth the situation over. I couldn’t believe how quickly that escalated. They ultimately gave me a refund but I wasn’t even seeking a refund, it was about getting a comfortable boot. You all should look into how you deliver customer service. I spent the rest of the day at the mall and every store I went into and made purchases, I was treated with respect, as expected bc I treat people with respect as well. I didn’t have an issue with the initial saleswoman, Christina I believe her name was. But to lower returns, it would be helpful for retailers to actually enjoy what you do, help the customer make informed decisions. Two employees told me that “the shoe would loosen as I broke it in” since it was “leather”. Yes, I went against my better knowledge and trusted what they said and felt I was having a good experience initially. But to be treated like a fraud, in front of my friend who is from out of State, and had never even visited the Somerset collection, this was an unacceptable experience. How does one continue to shop at a store where they have an experience like this? They don’t, sadly, and this WAS my go to Nordstrom. Lastly, before anyone tries to negate my experience, YES the shoe had dust on the bottom but there was no wear no scuffs no outside debris. No reason to treat a customer like a fraud.

She brings such positivity, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm to every interaction that it completely elevates the shopping experience. What really stands out is Hanan’s deep product knowledge. She doesn’t just point you toward an item; she takes the time to understand what you’re looking for, explains features clearly, and offers thoughtful recommendations tailored to the occasion.
