I purchased $330 in gifts online and picked them up in store, but was told I couldn’t get gift wrapping because I hadn’t selected that option online. A staff member kindly tried to help by finding boxes, but the manager came out and refused. I understand store policy, but after waiting in a long line, receiving 10 gift items stuffed into a small shopping bag was really disappointing. Wasn't the store's responsibility to give at least a simple wrapping for goods? Just felt I was badly treated. She Just said no without offering an extra bag. Won't come back again!

I stopped into the Auburn Hills Nordstrom Rack today to pick up a few items. I purchased 6 small holiday tree scrubs (they are so cute) , and 6 small Hempz peppermint lotions for my daughter’s teacher gift baskets. Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely ruined the visit. The cashier was too busy talking to another sales associate to even acknowledge me. I waited in line for several minutes before she finally looked up, and when she did, her attitude was extremely rude and snotty. Instead of greeting me or offering any basic customer service, she immediately snapped, “All sales are final,” in a very dismissive tone. I don’t expect over-the-top service, but I do expect to at least be acknowledged and spoken to respectfully. The lack of professionalism was unacceptable and honestly made me rethink coming to this location again. Nordstrom Rack can do better. This was definitely not the customer experience I’m used to.

Found the people who worked there very rude. Especially the manager. Wanted to make a return with a receipt of a pair of stark white running shoes that I tried on once that had almost no signs of wear on the bottom but again the shoe is stark white. I was told if they had been worn at all they could not return it. I said fine. The woman said she would call the manager and see what she thinks and I said okay. Waited 10 mins for her to show up then the manager was so rude no apology almost defensive when I wasn't fighting at all. I just found the interaction very off putting. I don't think this will stop anyone from buying here but hope maybe the staff will see this and take note to have more empathy and maybe an apology or some understanding instead of being rude. Meanwhile I'll shop elsewhere.

My husband and I stopped by this store while visiting from out of town. While the store offers a good selection of clothing, the customer service left much to be desired. I waited in a long line for a dressing room for about 10 minutes, during which the employee assigned to manage the area was sweeping and standing nearby but not actively assisting anyone. I assumed the fitting rooms were all taken, but when I finally got to the front, I noticed that several rooms were actually empty. It was unclear why customers weren’t being let in sooner. Eventually, another employee stepped in and allowed us to enter the rooms. Then, after I finished trying on my clothes and put them back before exiting the dressing area, the employee that was standing around got in my face and accused me of being an undercover officer. I told her I don’t even live in Michigan & then ignored her as she continued to try and argue with me and went into the restroom. On my way out, the employee starting shouting again about me being undercover. It was truly the most bizarre retail experience I’ve ever had. I’m assuming the employee isn’t well which is why I didn’t get too upset but I still feel the way she acted was really inappropriate. Also, people should be actively manning the dressing room area during a busy holiday weekend.
