I didn’t have an experience to submit a review for.
I placed an online order, received confirmation, and arrived within business hours (20 minutes before the posted closing). Door locked, And someone proceeded to walk around inside while a few us stood outside. Literally walked by the door while three of us knocked.
Something about not honoring your business hours AND blatantly ignoring customers causes me to want to leave a bad review.

I had a good experience at the Ascend
I came to the Ascend without realizing that this business takes Debit or Cash. I had brought a credit card. Adam, who sold me my recreational, was understanding and polite, and offered solutions to my problem. I ended having to leave the Ascend to retrieve a payment method. When I came back, my order was already on standby, and Adam thanked me for waiting in line when I came back, which was nice of him.
I’m visiting from Michigan, where there’s a recreational shop on every corner. Every state has its own style of payment, and every store does too, it seems. I’ve had more than my fair share of hiccups at the checkout register in Michigan. And not everyone has been nice about it.
All this to say, the staff is well trained. The products are good. The prices makeu you go “way better than dc”. Cool beans

As several other reviews have noted, the woman with glasses and brown hair was extremely rude. If the business closes at 9:00 but stops admitting customers at 8:30, that policy needs to be clearly stated, either online or posted on the door. Closing the door while customers are actively trying to ask questions is not only discourteous, but unprofessional. She nearly closed the door on my hand and dismissed the situation by saying “this happens every night.” If that’s the case, it clearly points to a communication issue that has not been addressed by the business. Unfortunately, this experience cost them a customer, and based on recent reviews, I’m far from the only one.

Change your hours from closing at 9PM to 8:30PM if you're going to turn people away before your posted closing. Absolutely ridiculous they wouldn't let me in even with an online order. Sticking with Waave and their honest hours. Foh

Woman with glasses and dark hair whos up front needs some training, extremely rude, If you dont want people to place a pick up order after a certain time then you need to say that on your website, not block me from entering to literally give yall money 😂 Wouldve been perfectly understanding if she wasnt such an asshole, "nOpe no more uh uh" while basically pulling the door shut from behind me and acting like i pulled up after yall closed? a simple "im sorry but we cant have anymore pick up orders after this time" wouldve done it jeez
