  As far as the inventory, there was quite a bit, and a good variety. The quality looked really good on the items. We liked it as far as that goes. However, when it came to getting help, we were told about 4 different stories about the same issue we were having. We lost track of time, (it's easy to do in there). We had already put all the items that we were gonna buy in the cart, plus 2 guns held for us at the gun counter. We had reservations at a restaurant 2 min away, and we were already 15 min late. We asked if they would/could keep our cart for us, for approx an hour and a half. We were told no. We had about $3200 worth of stuff that we were buying. The guys at the gun counter told us just to scan it on the website, and they could hold it up front. But we would have to come back in to do the background checks for the guns. So that's what we did. Their website is more than atrocious! We kept having to go back and click the same things that we had already clicked. We got all of the items scanned in and we paid for it online. We took the cart up front, they said we could leave the stuff there, go eat, then come back to get it. Ohhh no! We came back but we're told that only a couple things could be taken with us because the website had changed some items to have to come from other stores and would be shipped to us, except for my bf's gun. That would have to be shipped to the store and then us go back and get it. We kept telling them that those items were literally in our cart right in front of us. The store manager came out and tole ie that we were more than welcome to pay for the things our cart that had all the items we had picked. We told her that we had already paid for it online. She tells us that, no u can't take these from here because the items that we chose were going to come from another store and ship to us. We were furious! Then she says that we were more than welcome to do a return/cancel the online order, then purchase what we have there in the cart. However, it could take up to 10 busn days to go back on out card. I was so infuriated, I began to become very loud. The store manager said that there was nothing she could do about how things were ordered online, no one she could call to have things changed, nothing! We had to leave the store and wait for a week or so before our items were shipped to us and return to the store when his gun came in, which they already had one there! Also, there were items that online, ended up charging us over $100 more for getting them online, not what the price was in the store. Stay away from Academy Sports!

  The gun counter was amazing! The prices are lower than most,and the environment is pretty awesome! The little bit I looked around afterwards the rest of the place was stocked up with just about anything you can think of, for adventuring!

  Nice shop to buy shoes. They have many different brands, nice big & spacious shop..this place does remind me of Dick's Sporting Goods.
