I had 1 new manager say “she researched all the items and this is showing what they are selling for online so that’s why she priced them this way”. Um I get that people are buying and reselling items. But isn’t Goodwill suppose to be helping people that can’t afford these said items? I’ve seen people walking out because the prices for used shoes are too high. Here’s another example I went in one day and there was a sunglasses case marked for $2.99 I chose not to get it. I went back it was gone, went back in again a month later it was priced at $4.99 same one that the inside was coming off. So make this make sense. Why are you charging $89.00 for a purse you can buy at TJMAXX brand new and below the $89.00? The purses are super stained,torn,or fake and your asking full price because if the name “Per your New Management”. Why have a color for a discount when staff removes that color the day before? Yes I’ve had conversations with several people (not resellers) and they feel they’re not being heard and that Goodwill has lost the meaning of what they stood for. The staff is not staffing the special needs like they used to. The staff is not as helpful as they used to be (friendly , helpful, greet you when you came in, actually try to get to know their customers).

Do you have a furniture pickup service?
Goodwill Manasota does not offer a furniture or single item pickup service. We do have a White Glove Service, which is a FREE packing service for an entire home. If you are downsizing, buying/selling a home, or find yourself in another transitional stage of life, Goodwill can help lessen your burden. We will come to your home or business, pack up your entire household of resellable items that you would like to donate, and transport them to our Goodwill donation centers and retail outlets. There is never a charge for the White Glove Service and we provide an itemized receipt for tax purposes.
Do you have Color of the Week sales?
Goodwill Manasota does offer Color of the Week tag sales. Get 50% off the selected color tag at participating locations. Not valid at our Bookstores or Bargain Barns. Look for signage in our stores or ask an associate for more details, or like us on Facebook to get weekly reminders. Colors change weekly, so get the great deals while they last!
