  No one knew where anything was, Items were in the wrong area so prices were different when you were at the register. I paid 2X for one item because the price tag was incorrect. Overall overpriced, will never return.

  They never have any good “sports stuff” they have good outdoors equipment but shoe selection for indoor courts is like 0 they have like 10 options for men’s basketball , no men’s court shoes for volleyball, pickle ball. The golf selection is a joke. Again you need a some fishing , or hunting , beach go here.

  Let me start by saying i am a vendor at many jax gun shows, and will not be shopping at academy amymore. The older man at the firearms counter 2/2/26 @ 1pm was pretty rude and would rather carry on a conversation with people about non gun related subjects. When I nicely mentioned that I had a quick question and to get to me when he has a chance. He replied "I will get with you in couple minutes" with some attitude. Was basically ignored so he could hang out at work. And he got mad at me because I was actually trying to get him to do something work-related. They're wasting money employing him, my opinion. Very unprofessional and waste of time. Will never be back to the southside location. I often consider buying firearms from there but after that I'm good. PLEASE ACADEMY CORPORATE DIVISION: Please do something about your employee, he is not a good fit for such an awesome store. Thank You- Customer #7

  Orange Park on Blanding is horrible. Tried to purchase a shotgun at Christmas time, wouldnt even let us pick it up to check it out, even with our license in his hand. Next interaction, purchased a treadmill online last week, showed up and waited in the curbside parking for 30 minutes while the app told me to "keep waiting patiently", so i finally went inside. As soon as I walked in they said they dont load stuff when its wet outside. I asked why noone could come out to say something. They all looked at each other stupidly and them the manager said he would hold it and I could come back later in better weather. We asked for a refund, went to another sports store who loaded it up right away without a hiccup, just like with the shotgun. They lost a 600 sale the first time, and again the second time. Weak and lazy workers.
