  It's been 2 weeks and im still so bothered and didn't feel valued as a member after spending 200 on 3 pairs of work pants I urgently needed. And yeah my shopping experience was wonderful and was helped out and even given their opinions as far as what fit best and his pitch was great and had me sold. How ever the 3rd pants I bought were these black cargo pants and unfortunately they were the only black pants you had at the store and I gave in and bought that as well, because i bought the same brand but in khakis and those khakis was a perfect fit and so comfortable.When I wore it the black cargos the first and last time, within the hour I felt like I needed to buy a lint roller because everything, from debris to dust etc, would automatically stick to my pants and here was nothing i could do to get ride of it and it was so obvious and so unprofessional the way it looked and it completely embarrased me, I took it back with my receipt and explained them this material isn't it for me and all I wanted to do was an exchange. The male who greeted me asked me to see him at the counter first to take a look. I had my receipt. And your associate really observed those pants, last thing he needed was a magnifying glass to find every detail and to his response he told me he couldn't accept it because what ever stuck on my pants (it was mushed gray dust) couldn't be cleaned off (he never wet it or anything, and made the assumtionbecause he didnt wipe it down with a wet nap, only tried it with a dry towel) and that he wouldn't be able to sell it. He kept saying he couldn't do the return and I kept repeating myself I don't want my money back, I want an exchange that's going to make me look and feel professional and confident! Especially when I have meetings with a group of supervisors and mentors. Im very ocd and I felt like I wasn't believed nor did I felt like I was heard. He then proceeds to test it himself and made marks on the pants leaving white streaks with lint roller he had. And that's when I responded "see what i mean it leaves these marks and it's impossible to remove or clean it) he felt confident that he could remove it, but he failed miserably made my pants look even worse and he still refused to do the exchange for me. He was nice but I felt manipulated and fooled. I've never had this experience before and I was really shocked that he "couldn't" help me. He gave me no resolution to my concern, no sense of urgency or acknowledgement.I felt like I was being blamed for wearing it once! And it was for a few a few hours! And I hated it and I verbatim told him that. All I wanted was good quality dress pants and was willing to spend the extra money. The pricing was never the issue for me because most of the time I shop at that store they always have what I need and im willing to spend $200-300 every visit. But after leaving those white streaks on my black pants, he didn't hold accountability or admit he made more of a mess on my pants, but instead "tried" to convince me that, it was something I must have done, then he gave it back to me apologizing saying he cant take it back and theres absolutely nothing he can do about it. Even though I was extremely upset, I still kept it professional and respectful. I almost lost my patience when I responded back saying my concerns as a business woman and how im never gonna wear these unfortunate $70 black pants. And instead of being heard and responding back professionally, his response felt like as if he was talking to a child, he then says, "awwwwww" (in childish voice) that's when i lost all repect and i was extremely upset and felt discredited as a professional client. So I responded back saying "awww? Really?" To me, that was the tip of the iceberg and I said please don't ever say awww in that tone and voice like that to me ever again. Especially to a grown woman like myself. He made me feel so dumb. Ive even returned dress shoes that I actually work for over 2 weeks, at other stores. Everyone accepts my RETURN.

  I had such an amazing experience at DXL! I was able to find all the sizes I was looking for with no trouble at all. Lauren was absolutely wonderful, she went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed and taken care of. Her friendly attitude and helpfulness made my shopping experience stress-free and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this store to others!
