We have been to this mall many times but this was our first visit to this store. Looking for a light weight waterproof jacket. Found several candidates to consider. They have a lot of merchandise and the prices are really good.
- SCStephen M ChampagneJan 22, 20241.0I have been looking for a pair of lightweight, warm and waterproof winter boots for over 10 years. I found these Columbia Firecamp boots that fit. They were under 2 months old but only worn to Church twice as we had yet to get snow and these are too warm to wear casually. Well it snowed last week, went on a 3 mile hike at Chatfield Hollow and the boots were destroyed walking in 1-2 inches of snow. I went back to the store and they were of no help, they didn't even have a clue as to the warranty of their products they sell. I thought Columbia made products you can use and these are sadly just for show purpose only. I am now left bootless and $80.00 wasted, I just went on another hike yesterday, only 7 miles and I put gorilla tape on the fronts, but now since the fabric is compromised, they are not waterproof. Buyer beware, do not buy these boots for actual hiking, casual attire they are excellent, as the look and design is one of the best, the actual durability is horrendous. Update....so, there was a reply, it seems I would have to file a claim. A claim that I wore them once in the snow and they completely fell apart, having to box them up and ship them on my dime?,and then wait?, how long, till i can't wear them till next year?...then they repair or replace. I can buy even the cheapest, entry level shoe anywhere and bring them back locally for a full refund or exchange, NO questions asked. Just look at these boots after 1 hike in Nature, just despicable. It's sad I bought some Columbia gloves last week even after this happened, I thought the store would do the obvious thing and exchange them, but NO. Please do yourself a huge favor and buy from REI, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Walmart, Target even for way better quality than this.
