I went here for my interlock. I was told that smart start interlock was better than the rest and was referred to this shop from a buddy that had one installed here. I was in and out with in an hour. The guy that installed my interlock was very professional and answered all my questions.

If only there were negative star options. This is hands down the WORST SmartStart location I’ve ever used nationwide. The day employee is a crooked , lazy, lying thief. Lied to my face about how payments worked and had me waiting outside as he defiantly charged my card after explicitly telling him not to. Lied once again, that he couldn’t reimburse me and would have to file an incident report with SmartStart directly. Conducted business while chatting away on a personal cell phone and could care less about Customer Service and condescending the entire time. All of the one start reviews on here are accurate. Go to the Elkton location, employees are tremendously more friendly and are there to help assist you.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
