  Rolex Boutique broke my heart and I suppose I deserve it for not believing all the rolex reddit posts that tell you there’s zero chance you’ll ever get to buy a watch from them unless you meet their “rolex client” criteria (look affluent, have purchase history, kiss some butt). I hit a major life milestone and decided I’d buy myself a rolex. I had an exact model ref # and the specifications in mind and after reading all the 5 star reviews here from people who claimed they just happened to walk in to shop and leave with a watch, I decided to show up at their door during my lunch break at work downtown and see if it was possible to get my dream watch. I have no clue how these people can claim they were able to just walk in off the street. That wasn’t what happened to me. Security stopped me in my tracks, asked if I had an appointment and told me I can’t come in without one. I was so embarrassed and didn’t know what to say initially until a rep (who was actually really nice, despite the overall terrible experience I’ll get into later) came to the door and said they’d help me since they had a few mins. We talked and I told him about the watch I’ve wanted since I was a teenager. He told me he’d add me to a “waitlist” and said they’d contact me if the model became available. I won’t criticize the rolex sales rep. He was really nice. Fast forward a year and a half later and I still hadn’t heard anything from the boutique. And then randomly, my wife’s boss (a fellow watch lover) had mentioned to me that he was contacted by his rolex rep at the boutique and they asked if he’d be interested in purchasing a rolex they had available if he was interested. Wife’s boss showed me the model on his phone and I felt the disappointment and eventual anger swell up on me. It was the exact model, specifications that I wanted. Not only did they never contact me, here they are cold offering it to their existing customer who didn’t even express an interest in that watch and he had never asked to be added to its waitlist. My wife’s boss offered to buy it and let me buy it off him but I said no, I didn’t want to make things awkward by having my wife’s boss do such a huge personal favour. We’re not friends outside of their working relationship and I didn’t want to complicate their professional relationship as employer/employee by getting him to help me snag the watch. So there you go. That was my real experience with the Rolex “waitlist”. I’m only posting this now because I just bought that rolex watch I wanted at Vancouver Time & Gold who treated me wonderfully, they celebrated with me in their store because I finally had my dream rolex, and they were genuinely happy that they were able to make it happen for me. It’s sad that the downtown Rolex Boutique didn’t even bother to consider me a future customer and instead is going about offering those watches to people they selectively prefer.

  Been through a couple Rolex locations, but this one is stunning! When I first walked in, I was greeted by the host, who were just AWESOME. We chatted it up until a sales was ready to help me. Winnie was the AD who helped me out with my first Rolex purchase; she was incredible! It's been a week now, and I still can't stop looking at my wrist! The entire experience was top-notch & unmatched. I officially got the watch bug and am very excited to continue growing my watch collection with Winnie! Shoutout to the entire team at this location again for helping me with my first purchase! If you are looking for a Rolex, I recommend scheduling with Winnie! She's the girl!

  If you are a walk-in customer who simply wants to look at watches, I strongly recommend asking to be reassigned if you are matched with the sales associate named Winnie. We came in hoping to see what watches were available. Winnie immediately asked whether we were looking for men’s or women’s watches. For me, I buy watches based on what I like, not whether they are labeled as men’s or women’s. When I answered “Daytona,” she immediately corrected me by saying that it is a men’s watch. The way this was handled was uncomfortable and unnecessary. A sales associate should not feel like a gatekeeper or an examiner quizzing customers. She then stated there was no Daytona available. If there is no availability, that is completely fine — but there was no effort to explain alternatives, no willingness to introduce other models, and no attempt to understand what we might be interested in instead. The overall attitude felt like “we only have a few watches here, take it or leave it.” When taking my contact information, she did not ask which Daytona model I was interested in, showed no interest in follow-up, and even misspelled my FIRST name. This raises the question: is this really the level of training and professionalism your company expects from its sales staff? We came in because of the store’s strong reviews, hoping that even if a Daytona was not available, we could explore other options worth purchasing. Unfortunately, Winnie’s attitude made us completely uninterested in buying anything from her. For anyone reading reviews and planning to visit, please consider asking for a different sales associate. Being assigned to Winnie may significantly impact your experience☺️

  I emailed Rolex to book an appointment to buy a watch, and they told me no appointment was needed and to come in to register so they could contact me when a watch became available. When I visited the Vancouver downtown store, the staff only took my name and phone number in less than two minutes, and when I asked to see any watches, they said they didn’t have that watch available to view. I had driven one hour to get there, and I was very disappointed, especially since I have previously purchased a Rolex from another branch of . Overall, it felt like a waste of time, and I do not recommend visiting the Vancouver downtown Rolex store.

  I had a wonderful experience at the Rolex Boutique thanks to Franny. She was extremely kind, patient, and helpful from the moment I walked in. She took the time to understand that I was looking for a special gift for my dad and made the whole process feel very personal. Franny kept great communication, explained everything clearly, and made the experience feel special rather than rushed. I really appreciated her honesty and the care she put into helping me.
