  I went this afternoon wanting to purchase some stuff at this location specifically. The staff there was 3 white dudes, they really seem like they hate to see customers walk in, they just made me feel uncomfortable did not purchase anything because of them.

  I went to Lacoste yesterday to purchase a pink polo for a special event. From the moment I walked in, I was ignored by staff. The only other customer in the store, who was white, had multiple employees assisting him, while I was left alone. As a Black man, I could not help but feel the difference in treatment. I eventually found the shirt I wanted on my own. When I asked for a different size, the employee brought it, and I purchased it. Later at home, I opened the package and discovered the shirt was discolored, likely from prolonged exposure to light. I had not worn it, but since I needed it for that night, I went to another store to get a replacement. The next day, I returned to Lacoste with the shirt and my receipt to exchange it. The same employee who sold it to me immediately denied the return, saying it was not sold that way and insinuating that I wore it. He looked at me with disgust and even suggested that I do this sort of thing regularly. This was my first and, after this experience, my last time shopping here. Why is a customer not allowed to return or exchange a defective product that is unworn and has a receipt? Beyond that, the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service was alarming. The treatment I received made it clear that race played a role in how I was perceived and treated. Lacoste should do better.

  My husband (Black) and I (Hispanic) visited the Lacoste store at Scottsdale Mall today intending to purchase a few polos. From the moment we walked in, the energy was uncomfortable. A staff member made eye contact with both of us but didn’t greet or acknowledge us at all. As we browsed, two other employees (one sweeping, the other talking to her) also saw us and made no effort to speak, smile, or even acknowledge we were there. The store isn’t large—it was impossible not to notice us. We felt completely invisible. After several minutes of being ignored, we decided to leave. Only when I said “thank you” on the way out did someone finally turn around and wave. The whole experience felt cold, unprofessional, and honestly, a bit discriminatory. Not sure if it was racism, classism, or both—but whatever it was, it left a really bad impression. We won’t be returning, and I hope the company takes steps to ensure all customers are treated with respect.

  Everyone was very attentive and they helped me. They have a nice selection and will look for just the right size you need. Very elegant in all aspects.
