My daughter Mya and I came here because we love to shop. They have a lot of brand specific stores that we are interested in. We went to the Yeti store first because I needed a new top for one of my containers. Next we stopped at a few stores Mya wanted to check out. Then Dyson because I had been wanting a killer vacuum for a great value. They did have a sale on and I saved over %30! Yay!! We looked at some art for the house. Next we hit the candy store. The service was excellent and the mall was incredibly clean. It’s actually the cleanest mall I’ve ever been to. I have been to most of the famous ones. Cheers guys and keep up the great work.

Wonderful mall. The best mall in Calgary for sure. The amount of stores combined with the variety of high end luxury such as louis vitton, Rolex authorized dealer, as well as Kate spade (to name only a few) mixed with the practical necessities like H&M, Zara, Apple Store, and Uniqlo + the classic food court stuff like Edo, subway, and a&w = an amazing place with everything one will need for a great shopping experience!

I attended the 10:50 p.m. showing of Avatar on December 26th at Scotiabank Theatre Chinook, which finished between 2:30–3:00 a.m. on December 27th. The movie experience itself was excellent, but unfortunately I had a very negative interaction with one of the male security guards afterward. My female friend and I were waiting inside the lobby for about five to seven minutes for our cab to arrive. It was extremely cold outside that night (around –28°C “feels like”), and I have a medical history that makes me sensitive to long exposure in winter conditions. When the male security guard approached us, we politely tried to explain that our cab was on the way and would be there shortly. However, he repeatedly spoke to us very rudely and kept saying “Get out of the lobby,” without even allowing my friend to finish what she was trying to say. We fully respect policies, but the tone and attitude were unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. As a result, we had to wait outside in the extreme cold, and I experienced a nosebleed while waiting. By the next morning, I had developed fever and flu symptoms, which was very distressing. I do want to mention that the female security guard on duty that night was polite and respectful, and we truly appreciated her professionalism. Unfortunately, the male guard’s conduct created a very negative impression. I hope Cineplex management reviews this incident and provides training to ensure all guests are treated with empathy and respect, especially during harsh weather and late-night showtimes.

Guest Services – Gift Card Services: I recently tried to purchase mall gift cards for my children, something I’ve done before, and was surprised to learn there is now a $2.00 activation fee per card. Gift cards already offer a significant advantage to malls and retailers: guaranteed future spending, immediate cash flow, and the likelihood that shoppers will spend more than the card’s value. Charging an additional fee simply to activate a plastic card undermines what should be a convenient and appealing gift option. For families buying multiple cards, this fee adds up quickly and removes any real incentive. Instead of feeling like a smart purchase, it feels like an unnecessary surcharge on customer loyalty. In the end, I chose not to buy the gift cards and gave cash instead—an outcome that benefits neither the mall nor its retailers. It’s disappointing, and I hope this policy is reconsidered.
